Difficile de retranscrire l'atmosphère bucolique et envoûtante d'un jeu aussi original que Viva Pinata. Destiné aux rêveurs, aux fans de Harvest Moon, ou simplement aux joueurs en quête d'une expérience nouvelle, ce soft magique est un véritable ovni. Avec leur design coloré, ces Pinatas qui en ont fait craquer plus d'un sur Xbox 360 sont toujours aussi adorables sur PC mais attention : d'une part, une connexion Internet est indispensable pour en profiter et d'autre part, des bugs majeurs dûs au Windows Live peuvent vous empêcher de jouer. Il serait donc plus prudent de vous renseigner auprès de Microsoft sur les compatibilités de votre système avant d'acheter ce titre. La note générale a été hélas abaissée de 3 points pour sanctionner les problèmes techniques graves que nous avons rencontrés.

En dépit d'une réalisation vraiment mignonne, les activités deviennent vite lassantes. Avec toutes les tâches confiées à l'héroïne, on se dit que le titre aurait tout aussi bien pu s'appeler Léa Passion Ménage, ou même Léa Passion Esclave. Sans blague, qui voudrait allumer sa DS pour passer l'aspirateur ?

While most licenses end up shoveling an uninspired wreck of an experience onto handhelds, it’s nice to see Amaze and THQ team up to deliver a truly innovative and entertaining wrestling experience on DS that’s anything but ordinary. It was a risky move, as the core wrestling audience isn’t always up for a more strategic and tactical game when they could be button mashing all over the place, but the current experience lends itself well to DS’s somewhat limited 3D capabilities, the cinematic nature of wrestling, and the more tactical elements of the sport. The gameplay can become shallow a bit too quickly though, and while there are some solid match variations there’s never more than a one-on-one bout, and computer AI doesn’t do the game justice. In order to play multiplayer you’ll need to score two copies of the game, so it can take a ton of investment to get the most out of this year’s product. Hopefully next year brings more options, a bit more control over the wrestlers, and far more multiplayer modes, as this newcomer has the potential to become a true legend. If it’s given the right push, that is.

The concept of a virtual babysitting game – or, more precisely, a virtual pet game with humans as the pets – is immediately questionable, and should have most gamers raising an eyebrow at the idea. But that's not where Imagine: Babyz is a letdown. Its concept is actually handled fairly well, casting you as teenaged girl with a good heart simply wanting to care for young kids to help out her grandma, and the babies are presented in an accessible, adorable way. The problem is in the game's execution, as poor touch screen control and muddy explanations of what you're supposed to do mar each of the many mini-game designs. Imagine: Babyz is a game that looks fine and fun, but just isn't any fun to play – it's too frustrating to get into. You'll be left feeling like you're just had to change real diapers for hours on end. It's a pain.

If you really dug WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw 2007 on the PSP, you might consider buying this year's version. I found the controls off-putting and the lack of detail sad, but the big name modes -- Tournament, Money in the Bank, TLC, GM, etc. -- that make up the console versions are packed in here for you to digest on the go. Still, the poor graphics, d-pad/nub switching and flawed 24/7 Mode mean that I can't recommend you take a chair to the head to get this title.

When all's said and done, you may be somewhat discouraged from giving this game a try, but we would like to reemphasize that it's still fun, despite its flaws. Although the A.I. can be stupid, the overall control interface is slick and setting up strategic attacks can be totally rad. If you're a huge fan of strategy/tactical games, this one may be worth your time, if you can forgive the problems we discussed. And with a relatively refined multiplayer system that doesn't get weighed down by lag, Tactical Strike is a respectable member of the SOCOM family, though perhaps not the brightest of the bunch.

L'Entraineur progresse à son rythme et demeure dans une phase de correction de différents oublis et incohérences. Cet opus 2008 n'est pas un nouveau départ de la série mais se base comme une première réorientation vers un réalisme accru. Les puristes sauront apprécier, en dépit d'une base de données encore très juste et d'un côté répétitif constaté d'une partie à l'autre.
