Fish Tycoon isn’t bad, it’s just boring. The 3D fish and aquariums are well done, but the gameplay is dull, overly-complicated and everywhere outside of the tank lacks polish. The magical fish story aspect is regularly forgotten and selling a fish is probably more work than it would be in real life. Any aquarium lovers out there that just want to see fish floating around on their DS might get their twenty dollar’s worth out of this game. Everyone else should avoid it.

Nobody needs this game. There are plenty of great action platformers to be picked up instead on the DS and GBA. Unfortunately, Power Rangers fans will have to continue waiting for a decent handheld rendition of the series. Even for longtime Power Rangers fans, this game is too ugly and poorly thrown-together to recommend. Dipping into a decade and a half of Power Rangers characters and mythology is a fun idea, but it’s not worth trudging through this sorry excuse for a game for it. Hopefully Disney Interactive will learn from it mistakes and require a little more polish and quality control in the next Power Rangers handheld release.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a fantastic game. The single-player experience is easily Infinity Ward's best work to date. Calling it intense may be an understatement. The overall story is standard action movie fare, but the relationships built over the short five hours of play are surprisingly strong. Though the single-player lacks length, the multiplayer should keep you invested in COD4 for the long winter. This is a truly fantastic multiplayer offering that's as deep as any other online game available. Infinity Ward has done it again. Call of Duty 4 is a winner.

NBA 2K8 è ancora lontano dalla perfezione, soprattutto per quel che riguarda il comparto visivo ma, alla luce di alcune interessanti innovazioni e di un gameplay che, nonostante i difetti, offre una libertà d'azione quasi totale, ancora una volta il prodotto Visual Concept si merita il titolo di miglior simulazione di basket in circolazione mostrando ai diretti concorrenti, dopo i mezzi flop con hockey e football, che sul parquet il suo regno rimane incontrastabile. Un must buy per ogni appassionato di pallacanestro.

For all the blah, repetitive mini-game jobs and the slightly weak overall presentation, Bee Movie Game holds up surprisingly well. It's definitely better than most licensed games ought to be, but your mileage with the game will largely come down to how obsessive you are about finding hidden trinkets in the exploration levels and how much you like zipping slowly around giant-sized everyday locales. One important thing to note: the PlayStation 2 version apparently suffers from a pretty serious glitch whereby it'll lock up while saving the game while saving, which can (and did) corrupt my save game, instantly washing away a good seven hours of play time and collecting. If you end up picking up the game, make sure you save on multiple files, or you'll be as bummed as I was.
