Meet the Robinsons is – at its heart – a movie/game. The gameplay is basic, but it takes inspiration from more fleshed out titles, and it all works well. The license is the primary focus of the title (obviously), so you’ll spend just as much time living in the world, interacting with the characters, and watching movie-inspired cuts-scenes as you will engaging, nail-biting gameplay, but that’s part of what makes the sub-genre work. Meet the Robinsons has the overall look of the film, the original voice actors make an appearance, and as an extension to the movie it’s a fine choice for younger gamers or families. There’s no true Wii functionality added in, and the only difference between versions is the poly count and graphical detail. There’s very little true innovation in the design, but a mix of entertaining gadgets keeps the experience from becoming mundane. All in all Meet the Robinsons is a solid effort, lacks some of the overall polish of games with a higher budget and longer development time, but it fulfills its goal of tying the film world to an interactive medium; an exact definition to what we consider a “good” game.

As a 1993 release, Spinball benefited from a few years' worth of experience with the Genesis hardware – the system had been on the market for a while, Sonic was already established as a major mascot character, and there were even a couple of cartoons hitting the airwaves here in the States around the same time as this game's release. It was the perfect time for a solid Sonic spin-off game to complement the main platformer series, and Spinball filled that position well. It's not a perfect game – there are aspects of the control that could have been tighter, and its difficulty level may be a bit too extreme for new players. But it's a good option for Sonic fans, or pinball fans, or anyone who likes the idea of a game based on the concept of repeatedly hitting the hedgehog with giant metal flippers.

Tirando le somme Virtua Tennis 3 è indubbiamente un ottimo titolo, soprattutto per chi si dovesse avvicinare per la prima volta a questa serie; i “veterani”, invece, sebbene appassionati, non troveranno particolari soddisfazioni nel ripetere praticamente la stessa carriera dei precedenti capitoli. Fortunatamente, la longevità praticamente infinita offerta dall'online e l'immediatezza offerta dalla giocabilità prettamente arcade, rendono il gioco un degno compagno, più che rivale, da affiancare a Top Spin 2, pietra miliare nelle simulazioni tennistiche. Il comparto tecnico di qualità, inoltre, rende il gioco ancor più appetibile, soprattutto per coloro che considerano fondamentale, in ambito ludico, la resa audio-visiva. L'eccellenza comunque è ancora lontana, anzitutto per la limitatezza - abassi e medi livelli di difficoltà - dell'IA computerizzata e, in secondo luogo, per la scarsa caratterizzazione a 360° dei vari tennisti, aspetto non marginale per un titolo sportivo che vuole imporsi sul mercato.

Medal of Honor Vanguard was clearly designed for PlayStation 2 and upgraded for Wii. Games developed in this manner have a tendency to show barely-tweaked visuals and tacked on controls, but Vanguard looks notably sharper and plays significantly better on Nintendo's system. I've scored it lower than our sister site, though, because Wii is simply capable of so much more. Vanguard arrives on PS2 at the end of its life cycle, but it comes to Wii at the beginning and it barely scratches the surface of what's really possible. Even with that being true, Vanguard is fun and pretty wartime first-person shooter on Nintendo's Wii and If you played Call of Duty 3 and want something more atmospheric, this is your game. Its overall presentation is much better and the resulting experience much more engaging. Plus, it's got a decent four-player compatible multiplayer mode, which CoD lacked completely. But Vanguard's controls, while adequate, are looser than Activision's shooter, which is a disappointment. The developer has almost made up for the less desirable responsiveness with a host of control intricacies, from an analog lean in sights mode to a quick 180 turn and a sprint option and they're all welcomed additions. And yet, none of them mask that basic control shortcoming entirely. If you can live with it, and I suspect many can, you will undoubtedly find Vanguard to be an entertaining and intense first-person shooter. For me, this is just the beginning of better games to come. I don't want to choose between tight controls or good graphics. I expect them both.

A l'heure où Fallout 3 commence certainement à envahir les plannings de Bethesda, The Shivering Isles rassure sur de nombreux points. Non, la boîte n'a pas perdu son humour, sa fraîcheur, sa sincérité. Même si le fond n'a pas bougé d'un iota et que certains défauts sont toujours aussi criants, le grain de folie emprunté à Lewis Caroll dépayse très efficacement. La quête principale est amusante, bourrée de situations loufoques, comme aux meilleurs moments de Morrowind. Pour ne rien gâcher, le contenu est riche et agrémenté de quelques nouveautés bienvenues. Du beau boulot.

Ja, im Vergleich zum vollen Fußball Programm eines Fifa 07 wirkt Champions League 2006-2007 mit weniger Ligen und Wettbewerben wie eine Sparversion, für die allerdings noch viel Geld verlangt wird. Einzig die Xbox 360-Fassung ist mit ihrem innovativen und durchaus spaßigen Kartenmodus sowie der im Detail verbesserten Fifa-Engine ihr Geld wert, wenn man auf EAs Fußballserie steht. An die Physik eines Pro Evolution Soccer reicht aber auch die neue Engine nicht heran und auch die KI hinkt dem Konami-Kick noch deutlich hinterher. Trotzdem befindet man sich zumindest auf der 360 auf dem richtigen Weg, den man langsam auch auf dem PC einschlagen sollte… Wer offen für das meiner Meinung nach gelungene Experiment aus Trading Card und Fußball, sollte einen Blick auf die 360-Version werfen. Auf PC und PS2 gibt es dagegen nur die EA-Standardkost in einer Sparausführung, die sicherlich nicht schlecht ist, aber deutlich besser und umfangreicher hätte ausfallen können.

Gentle and frustrating in equal parts, on the whole Kororinpa is a worthy addition to any Wii library, presuming that you bought the console as you weren't interested in a stream of macho shooters.

Test Drive Unlimited è sorprendentemente corposo, un titolo godibile fuori rete ma ancor più appagante durante il gioco Online. Pur non eccellendo in nessuna categoria (se non quella dei contenuti Internet) si dimostra appagante per l'occhio, giocabile e vario e si guadagna una sincera raccomandazione di questo gioco a tutti gli amanti dei racing game, a cui regalerà grandi soddisfazioni.
