It took a while, but Song of the Ocean is easily the best title of the Legend of Heroes trilogy. Even though it’s a standalone title, it's nice to see a little bonus provided for series fans with the new battle scenes and cameos of previous characters. It's also nice to see a few new features within the battle system. However, even with these changes to the game, Song of the Ocean still falls victim to some of the problems that have hampered the series. It's the strongest title of the trilogy, but it's still a ways away from being a must have RPG.

Mizuguchi stesso ha più volte definito Rez quale "Endorfine Generating Machine" (una sorta di strumento, dunque, in grado di stimolare il cervello e la relativa produzione di endorfine, sostanze analgesiche capaci di donare piacere all'organismo): un progetto ambizioso e, se non del tutto, in buona parte riuscito. Rez dovrà si essere metabolizzato, vissuto e studiato, ma fatto ciò diverrà una sorta di bisogno fisiologico, un potente viaggio mentale verso i lidi inesplorati dell'iperspazio e del senso artistico dell'uomo. Mizuguchi si eleva così dalla massa, donandoci un prodotto che, ne siamo certi, non conosce precedenti: un regalo dall'uomo all'uomo, una forma d'arte a sé stante che esula dal videogioco stesso, per elevarsi a metafora ideologica di una generazione che, per certi versi, vive schiava di una tecnologia dominatrice e perversa. Non sappiamo dirvi quanto un simile prodotto possa risultarvi gradito, ma ve ne preghiamo ugualmente: provatelo, e lasciate che il vostro cuore batta al ritmo di un sound techno da voi stesso orchestrato; siate voi a dominare la tecnologia.

Headhunter si dimostra una valida alternativa al tanto acclamato Metal Gear Solid: non sarà certo su medesimi livelli di eccellenza, ma sa ben difendersi. Un acquisto che non necessita neppure di consiglio per un utente Dreamcast, dal momento che dovrebbe già possederlo in softeca, da almeno un lustro. Ma, per tutti gli altri, un acquisto caldamente consigliato.

Jewel Quest II is a great sequel to the very successful original puzzler. It adds some new mechanics and really improves the production values, something that I think will go a long way toward keeping eyeballs on the game. There dozens upon dozens of puzzles, so this isn't one you'll finish up in a weekend. I mentioned in a few places that the game is much harder because I think it's extremely important for prospective downloaders to know and it also helps explain why I scored it lower than the original. The first JQ was hardly a breeze, but expect to replay puzzles more than once in order to clear them and move on through the game. This does add a lot of replay value to the game, but I confess on occasion, it wasn't the kind of replay I necessarily enjoy. "Come on, stupid gems!" I would occasionally exclaim while playing, but with some added colorful language. If you suffer from the same kind of verbal slips, you may want to play Jewel Quest II in private, too.

FM 2007 sembra essere il miglior manageriale calcistico in circolazione. La miglior simulazione. Basta giocare per qualche minuto e ci si accorge di avere per le mani uno di quei tesori ritrovati che si fa fatica a dimenticare. La completezza di questo titolo è formidabile: la grafica, che nonostante la sua modestia risulta soft e piacevole per i nostri occhi; la giocabilità molto estesa coadiuvata da un sistema meccanizzato all’avanguardia, che rispetta i connotati imposti ai giorni nostri da titoli dal calibro incommensurabile; la longevità, uno degli aspetti che da sempre contraddistinguono questo genere, è rimasta uno dei punti di forza; il sonoro, quasi inesistente, se non durante la partita vera e propria, riesce a non cascare nel ridicolo. Insomma, i voti qui sotto sono più che giustificati, anzi, sono meritatissimi. Ogni anno la Sports Interactive si impegna per programmare e dare un nuovo taglio a FootBall Manager: dodici mesi fa, purtroppo, è riuscita a deludere sotto tutti gli aspetti i più appassionati, sfornando comunque un titolo all’altezza dei concorrenti; quest’anno, invece, siamo rimasti tutti a bocca aperta, soprattutto per le tante piccole modifiche applicate in un gioco così esteso che lo hanno reso diverso rispetto ai suoi predecessori, sotto tutti i punti di vista. Con un rapporto qualità-prezzo eccellente, non si può far altro che consigliare l’acquisto.

Avec une meilleure narration, des missions plus longues et une véritable IA, Combat Wings aurait pu être vraiment sympathique. Sa réalisation n'est pas trop vilaine et son gameplay simple et efficace aurait certainement suffi à s'attirer la sympathie de nombre de joueurs amateurs de dogfights. En l'état, le jeu dispose cependant d'une durée de vie trop courte et il manque globalement d'intérêt.

Super Probotector : Alien Rebels est ce qui se fait de mieux dans le genre. Un petit condensé d'action furieuse, habillé d'une mise en scène parfaite qui ne laisse aucun temps mort. Certes, c'est affreusement court. Mais le fun procuré par ce titre est indéniable, surtout si vous y jouez en coopération avec un ami. Encore faudra-t-il ne pas être rebuté par sa difficulté old-school, mais les nostalgiques y trouveront fatalement leur bonheur.
