If you've played the PSP version of Gripshift, you probably won't shake the feeling that while fun, you've played this game before, especially since it's just a ported over game. The more than 125 levels is a marked increase over the handheld, as is the sharper textures and the boosted soundtrack, but many of these courses feel like only minor variations on the same puzzle theme. Plus, not including the track editor eliminates a large reason to replay the game once you've completed most of the goals or have become bored with the repetitive play.

Star Wars: Lethal Alliance offers a rewarding blend of action and platforming. While not revolutionary in any way, the action benefits from a high degree of flexibility thanks to an array of attack options and a helpful robot droid. In short, it looks good, runs well and only suffers from a few glitches here and there.

The original Gradius is a great, classic shooter that set the bar high for later games in the genre. This NES version is a decent recreation of that title and the most popular and notable rendition of the game that's responsible for introducing the "Konami Code" to the world of gaming and pop culture.

Metal Slug Anthology sets out to compile seven of the best 2D shooters ever released on the Neo Geo. For the most part it succeeds, but why they chose not to offer Classic Control support is anybody's guess!

When taken together, all the elements above make for quite an enjoyable portable RPG. Sure the new jobs are more of a novelty than a necessity and the narrative feels all too familiar, but the gameplay is what Final Fantasy V is all about anyway. It says a lot that after all these years, the class-changing system and its ATB mechanics still go toe-to-toe with just about everything that RPG manufacturers put out today. It's addictive, deep, and easy to pick up and play. What else do you need?

Shaun Alexander (MVP del 2005) in copertina sembra suggerirci che nulla è cambiato dalle passate edizioni di “NFL Madden”. Del resto le apparenze ingannano. EA Sports è riuscita a proporre qualcosa che si aspettava da tempo nell’ambito videoludico sportivo: qualcosa che riuscisse ad appassionare gli esterni quanto gli addetti al settore senza che vi siano sacrifici da nessuna delle due parti. I compromessi alla base del titolo sono elemento vitale per il successo che esso ha avuto in America e seguiterà ad avere in Europa: ammirevole è lo studio che è stato effettuato per accostare un software con radici salde ad un sistema hardware totalmente nuovo ed estraneo ai più. La sezione di sviluppo di giochi sportivi della Electronic Arts ha effettuato un buono e saldo primo passo e si spera che il viaggio sia soltanto in salita. Aumentate il verdetto finale in un moto di apprezzamento se reputate la giocabilità ancor più superiore di quanto è stata valutata. Ma fate attenzione: per quanto possiate essere atletici, il laccetto al polso va sempre messo, se non volete rischiare di finire su wiihaveaproblem.com.

S'il manque de profondeur, le jeu de Codemasters tente de se rattraper sur la forme. Pour cela, il propose une représentation des matchs en 3D. Bien que la qualité soit moyenne, un ordinateur avec une bonne carte graphique est nécessaire pour profiter au maximum des détails apportés à l'ensemble. FC Manager 2007 joue à fond la carte de la retransmission télé. Outre son moteur 3D, le jeu propose une chaîne de télé virtuelle, baptisée Football One. Vous pouvez ainsi voir les différents résumés des principaux matchs des championnats européens, regarder des reportages au sein des clubs et écouter les commentaires des journalistes sur votre performance. Bonne idée sur le papier, cette fausse chaîne est un ajout bien inutile et franchement dispensable. Là encore, FC Manager 2007 pêche par une absence totale de profondeur. Sur le terrain, les comportements des joueurs sont grotesques : les défenses sont totalement passives face aux accélérations des attaquants et il n'est pas rare que votre meilleur buteur loupe l'immanquable devant un but vide. L'opposition forme et fond prend tout son sens dans FC Manager 2007. A trop privilégier la forme, le jeu de Codemasters bâcle totalement le fond et ne tient pas sur la durée. Idéal pour les novices, le jeu fera fuir les plus expérimentés, qui lui préfèreront un bon Football Manager.

Super Mario Bros est un grand classique du jeu vidéo, un incontournable auquel il faut avoir joué au moins une fois dans sa vie, une pierre angulaire de l’Histoire de ce loisir devenu, en partie grâce à ce titre, si populaire de nos jours. Maintes fois copié mais jamais égalé, le soft est vite devenu culte, grâce à un personnage attachant et à une réalisation de haut vol incluant des graphismes agréables, des musiques inoubliables et un gameplay révolutionnaire.
