Yakuza tells a good story. Not only that, it backs it up with a satisfying combat system and one of the most atmospheric gameworlds so far this year. It takes something as traditional as third person brawling and blends it with a lengthy adventure filled with interesting characters, side-quests and a great sense of style. Fighting can get tedious at times, but furthering the story and uncovering the city's secrets make it worth the effort.

Alors là, c'est plaisant. Imaginez : des airs de fonds de tiroirs, ce genre de jaquette à perdre ses couleurs sous le pâle éclairage des boutiques spécialisées qui vendent tout et n'importe quoi, et au final une montagne russe aussi primaire que grisante. Il m'aura fallu attendre 2006 pour découvrir un Raiden, un shoot'em qui en veut. Je le regretterai presque et vous le conseille particulièrement. Raiden III est proposé 30 euros, et sera certainement bradé bien vite. Il y a de la bonne affaire sous la caillasse.

„Mit Strength & Honor veröffentlichen wir einen weiteren Midprice-Titel in einem sehr interessanten Genre, der unseren Anspruch untermauert, hervorragende Spielqualität zu einem fairen Preis anzubieten.“ Bin ich im falschen Film? Dieses Spiel ist eine Frechheit für knapp 30 Euro. Es sieht schlecht aus, es ist schlecht spielbar, es strotz vor Schlampigkeiten. Und es ist im Zeitalter von Medieval 2 oder Civilization IV ein einziger Software-Anachronismus, der höchstens mit einem fettem Budgetaufkleber auf dem Wühltisch existieren dürfte. Interaktive Menüs? Fehlanzeige. Komfortable Klicksteuerung? Nicht da. Gegnerverhalten? Miserabel. Spröder geht es nicht mehr. Ich verlange von einem Spiel nichts Weltbewegendes. Schon gar nicht von einem, das bereits vor über zwei Jahren mal angekündigt wurde, damals schon niemanden begeistern konnte und dementsprechend schnell in der Versenkung verschwand. Aber ich kann erwarten, dass es bei einer späteren Veröffentlichung gewissenhaft überarbeitet wird. Der frustrierende Ausflug in diese Antike, mit all ihren „Revalen“ und „Selekuiden“, mit all ihren elenden Grafikfehlern und Abkürzungsmonstern hat mich davon überzeugt, dass Pisa erst der Anfang war. Spielt lieber die ersten (!) Teile von Cossacks, Civilization oder Total War.

Il primo passo nella next-gen di un titolo “Free roaming”è stato compiuto da Saints Row, che pur non aggiungendo nel gameplay novità eclatanti riesce a divertire ed a coinvolgere il giocatore grazie alla sua immediatezza e ad alcune chicche imperdibili. Non eccelle nella grafica ma offre spunti interessanti per quanto riguarda fisica ed animazioni, ponendosi, da questo punto vista, qualche gradino più in su rispetto ai predecessori congeneri. Dotato di uno stile impeccabile dal punto di vista dello humor e della recitazione nelle cutscenes ( come la musa ispiratrice GTA ), riesce quasi a confondere il giocatore, che può benissimo immaginare di trovarsi in nuovo capitolo della famosa serie Rockstar. Pregio o difetto ? Questo dipende dalle aspettative dei giocatori e soprattutto dalla voglia di intraprendere, sebbene con rinnovato spirito ed avvincente trama, una nuova avventura della quale già si conosce, in parte, il gusto ma non il contenuto. La modalità multigiocatore e alcuni sottogiochi meritano comunque un premio per l’originalità proposta, riuscendo a discostare il prodotto dalla valutazione di mera copia-carbone di GTA in tutto e per tutto, nonostante l’ispirazione al titolo Rockstar è chiara sin dalle prime schermate di gioco

Aucun suspense pour cette suite de Soccer Life. Le duo 505 GameStreet/Cavia n'a rien fait pour exterminer les stéréotypes que l'on peut avoir sur ce genre de production. Le jeu manque de profondeur, de diversité et d'idées originales. Le miracle n'a pas eu lieu.
