Zugegeben: So schlecht wie anfangs befürchtet, ist Sarge‘s War auch wieder nicht – vor allem zu viert auf der Xbox kommt hin und wieder sogar so etwas wie Spielspaß auf. Doch auch die besseren Army-Men-Spiele sind im übergreifenden Genrevergleich immer noch Shooter maximal dritter Klasse. Wieso soll sich jemand diesen Titel geben, wenn er für das gleiche Geld wesentlich bessere Alternativen wie Medal of Honor: Frontline oder TimeSplitter 2 haben kann? Das Einzige, was die an sich kultigen Plastiksoldaten von der Konkurrenz abhebt, sind die originellen Schauplätze sowie das einzigartige Schadensmodell; aber selbst hier schöpft Sarge‘s War das verfügbare Potential bei weitem nicht aus. Darüber hinaus ist das Gameplay einfach zu monoton und altbacken, die Technik zu antiquiert, die Steuerung zu hakelig und der Mehrspielspielermodus vor allem auf der PS2 nicht mehr als ein schlechter Witz. Wer nicht gerade von den Army Men besessen oder masochistisch veranlagt ist, sollte den digitalen Sarge da lassen, wo er her kam: auf 3DOs Lizenzmüllhalde.

What's really here is a driving game that provides a decent, if sluggish, bit of driving with many, many options for smashing cars all over the place. Sure, maybe if you want to get all redneck with it this could be for you, but most everyone else should steer clear. While Eve of Destruction provides a good amount of wanton destruction and a good excuse for pounding a friend's car, the rest is more of a Yawn of Destruction. Everything is getting wrecked, but who cares? NOTE: We posted a previous review that was based on a preview copy that we were informed was a full review copy. After re-evaluating the game, the score has been adjusted accordingly. Thank you for your concern and please remember to wear your seatbelt.

Besieger est un jeu de stratégie temps réel dans la plus grande tradition du genre. Il n'est pas mauvais, mais il n'apporte aucune innovation capitale. En outre, il s'avère bien moins complet et bien moins intéressant qu'un Warcraft 3 ou qu'un Age of Mythology. Ses huit cartes multijoueurs seulement font pâle figure face à la concurrence et il ne dispose pas d'éditeur de map. Bref, on se retrouve en présence d'un petit jeu sympa mais sans plus.

Alpha Black Zero veut se faire passer pour un Ghost Recon futuriste mais il n'est en fait qu'un jeu très linéaire, aux missions trop longues, avec des ennemis aussi futés qu'une tanche et un gameplay "squad based" qui ne sert en fait qu'à passer du fusil de snipe à la mitrailleuse. On s'ennuie fortement très vite.
