In case it isn’t already apparent, I can’t in good conscience recommend Autobahn Police Simulator 3 to anyone. This is quite a shame because I wanted to enjoy this game. I was sold solely on the premise alone. Despite everything wrong with this game, there is a kernel of something resembling a good idea here. I appreciated the fact that this is not an action-oriented game, instead focusing on the attention to detail in conveying the everyday life of a highway patrol officer and the mundane tasks associated with it. You just have to get accustomed to clunky controls, awkward physics, and bad shooting mechanics all the while experiencing it with extreme frame rate dips and subpar graphics, regardless of your hardware’s power. I wish it were better, and I’m sure it could be better with updates, patches, and even perhaps some DLC. But at the end of the day, Autobahn Police Simulator 3 has shovelware written all over it.

Cult of the Lamb est un jeu terriblement séduisant et qui par son mélange de style vous invite à en découvrir d'autres. Grâce à sa difficulté modulable et généralement bien dosée, il reste très accessible pour un roguelite. Il devrait vous occuper une bonne vingtaine d'heures durant lesquelles vous n'aurez pas l'occasion de vous ennuyer. Disponible sur PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One et Xbox Series X/S, vous n'avez aucune excuse pour ne pas l'essayer et ce n'est pas son tarif de 29.99€ qui me contredira.

Cult of the Lamb si è rivelata un'altra gradevolissima sorpresa di Devolver Digital: l'ibrido tra action roguelike e gestionale sviluppato da Massive Monster ha reso gestire una vera e propria setta non soltanto divertente e appagante, ma perfino adorabile. Azione violenta e simulazione si fondono insieme in un prodotto in grado di coinvolgere pienamente i giocatori che sceglieranno di approfondirlo sotto ogni suo aspetto, ma fornendo ottime ragioni per proseguire anche a chi non dovesse apprezzare in particolar modo uno dei due generi di gameplay proposti. L'agnello sacrificale diventa carnefice ed è pronto a conquistarsi un posto nei vostri cataloghi videoludici, ma solo se sceglierete di affidargli la vostra anima – almeno per qualche ora, certo.

Vous l’aurez compris en lisant ces lignes, Cult of The Lamb est avant tout un jeu de gestion, a priori tout mignon, teinté d’actions diaboliques et sanglantes à accomplir. La direction artistique, sublime, rend toute cette noirceur très mignonne, et on se surprend à rire des horreurs que l’on peut commettre. Le titre est extrêmement plaisant à parcourir, et il y a toujours quelque chose à faire pour conserver la confiance des troupes. Les actions possibles sont très variées, même si on finit par se trouver une petite routine à soi. L’humour noir est également bien présent, sans qu’il ne soit jamais offensant pour qui que ce soit, et la partie roguelite, sans arriver à la cheville d’un Binding of Isaac, reste agréable et lie parfaitement les différents aspects du jeu. On regrettera seulement quelques bugs de scripts, qui seront peut-être corrigés dès la version 1.0, et l’absence d’un endgame qui fait autre chose que permettre de viser le 100%. Cult of The Lamb a tout pour plaire si on attend de lui ce qu’il propose vraiment, mais qui pourrait décevoir si on attendait un successeur spirituel à Binding of Isaac. Pour tous les autres, le titre de Massive Monster est un bonbon à déguster pendant une quinzaine d’heure, qui est ce qu’aurait pu être Animal Crossing s’il avait croisé la route de Happy Tree Friends.
