Before we start, I'll come right out and say it: I have never played a Hitman game until now. It's not that the series doesn't appeal to me, I do own all the Hitman games (having picked them up in a sale recently), I just never got around to playing them before this assignment landed in my lap.

Of Orcs And Men turns our perceptions of the fantasy genre on it's head and puts the Orc in the limelight, as Bloodjaw warrior Arkail and his Goblin compatriot Styx set out to bring down the Empire of Men and end the slavery of the greenskin people.

The time has come for Formula 1 fans to get excited because it is time for the official game by Codemasters to be released. As with every F1 game we have had to wait for the back end of the season for the release due to licensing but I think that we would rather get a game late than not at all. With the previous versions being so good I have high hopes for F1 2012 so let's see how it did.

It's a lot of fun, an enjoyable romp through endless zombies, foreign countries and exciting story moments. It's these that make the game such a great one but not what it could have been. Because of this, the best way to enjoy Resident Evil 6 is to just play it for what it is, regardless of whether one agrees with the alterations or not.

ego Batman 2 is no Arkham City and it isn't really close, but what it is is very enjoyable and the best Lego game yet. Whilst its core DNA is the same, it has made enough changes to ensure that it isn't just like previous entries but has enough similar so it doesn't alienate fans. Fun, amusing and frankly brilliant; Lego Batman 2 is a game that players will put a lot of time into not because they have to but because they'll want to as it's absolutely brilliant and will fill the gap very nicely until The Dark Knight Rises hits cinemas this summer or Rocksteady release the third instalment in their Batman series.

Blacklight Retribution is an extremely competent multiplayer first person shooter. Set at some point in the future, two rival factions battle for control of resources, territory and inexplicably disused industrial complexes. Why? Who knows but it has stompy mechs so it's all good.

Prototype 2 is a peculiar game. It offers so much, yet produces so little. From the moment it begins, there is a constant sense that something is not quite right and for every great thing it gives the player to do, there is something holding it back. It is, by no means, a bad game but it lacks some of the appeal of its predecessor simply because it just isn’t as fun.

Stainless Games continue their partnership with purveyors of all things geek, Wizards of the Coast, for the third iteration of the Duels of the Planeswalkers series. As with the previous titles, gameplay focuses on what could be considered a taster of the world of Magic: The Gathering.

Okay, first things first here: If you are looking for a serious rally simulation then I'm afraid DiRT Showdown is not the game for you. If you're looking for a serious racer in any manner then it's not for you. Now, with that out of the way, if you're still here then read on for my thoughts on Codemasters' new smashathon, DiRT Showdown, a spin-off from their popular DiRT series.

Overall, the collection is actually really well done. Devil May Cry 1 + 3 in particular are fantastic. Devil May Cry 2 was never as good as the others and it still isn’t now, although that is of no fault of the collection itself, it has always been the weaker link.

Few game titles are as descriptive as that of NeocoreGames' latest offering: King Arthur II – The Role Playing Wargame. Like its predecessor, King Arthur II combines RPG elements with both real-time and turn based strategy to create a hybrid of all three genres.

There is always an air of trepidation when a HD collection of older titles appears on the horizon. We can't help but pray that what we fondly remember as an awesome gaming experience has not been lost in translation when brought into the current market.

Blood, guts, violence, humour and piddle. The Darkness II has everything I've just mentioned by the truck load and it's not afraid to shower you with it either. The story of Jackie Estacado is one of revenge and internal torment as he not only battles with the army wanting the Darkness from Jackie, but also battles with the Darkness itself.

All in all this is an excellent game, while it may not win over anyone who isn’t already a UFC fan it is an accomplished and well-rounded game with just about every conceivable option included. THQ really listened to the fans with this release.

NeverDead is Konami's latest game, a collaboration with developers Rebellion Software and is a less than typical action title featuring hordes of demonic creatures waiting to be killed in a multitude of ways and a sassy partner to share the fun times with and you; Bryce Boltzman is a demon hunter with a difference.
