Mass Effect 2 was an incredible game on the Xbox 360 and is just as incredible a year later on the PlayStation 3. BioWare has done a fine job porting over an already impressive game and did a great job (along with DarkHorse comics) to help bridge the gap created by the first game’s absence on the console. If you own a PS3, even if you have played the game in its previous form, you owe yourself to play through it again on the PS3. It’s that good.

Don't be fooled by the similar look, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 has a lot to offer fans of the series. The story is admittedly goofy and the gameplay takes some getting used to, but there are enough new ideas here to warrant a sequel. With its lush visuals and outstanding soundtrack, recommending Capcom's newest downloadable game is a no-brainer!

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is the best fighting game that I have ever played... and I have played a LOT of fighting games in my gaming life. The character rosters is diverse, the gameplay is frantic yet deep, and the game offers you a wide variety of modes that keep you coming back for more. Move over MvC2, there is a new king in town.

Omega Force gets some credit for trying to do something different with Trinity: Souls of Z'ill O'll, but the game ultimately winds up being a decidedly average action RPG. It's a lengthy game with lots of combat and decent storyline, but with lots of repetition in combat and in exploration areas, the good cancels out the bad.

Double Fine proves yet again that you can make a great video game out of just about anything. Stacking may be nothing more than a world of nesting dolls, but that didn't stop the developers from coming up with one of the most intriguing game concepts of 2011. The gameplay is a little stiff at times, but the personality of this micro world more than makes up for any minor gripes I have!

You know you're doomed when the game starts its life as a mobile phone game. Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is a baffling adventure with a sub-par story, horrible pacing, lack-luster multiplayer support, disappointing levels and the worst camera system I've ever used. Not even the modern combat mechanics are enough to make me recommend this mediocre remake!

Prinny 2 has the makings of another great side-scrolling action game, but is marred by crummy controls and overly difficult level designs. The incredible boss battles aren't enough to keep this light-hearted sequel from being the first big disappointment of 2011!

Mindjack is one of those games that brings unique ideas to the table but ultimately fails in overall execution. Repetition, a broken cover system, a weak story, and other problems should keep this game from jacking any of your hard-earned money. The option of "jacking" into non-player characters for strategic or life-saving purposes sure sounds like a good thing, and the idea of seamless transitions from solo to multiplayer gameplay can make for enjoyable skirmishes or unexpected assistance during a campaign. The world of Mindjack is reminiscent of Tron, with sleek vehicles, huge mechs, and sleek towers of glass and steel. Unfortunately, the repetitive and hollow gameplay experience that Mindjack offers quickly cancels out and actually overtakes many of the game's positive traits.

If you're a dedicated Dragon Ball fan, look no further than Raging Blast 2 for your fanservice. It recreates the anime's battles with loving devotion and has a wealth of bonus material, but the button-mashing and requirements for unlocking the extensive roster might turn off fighting games connoisseurs who don't happen to be DBZ fanatics.
