Splatterhouse was a game of polar opposites for me. As much as I loved the visual styles of the game and imaginings of the artists, I equally hated the game’s technical shortcomings.

It was a great first offering from the guys and gals at Vigil. Since they all but said "pre-order Darksiders 2” in the closing credits, I assume they will be looking at some of the faults in the game and fixing them when the other three horsemen have their days.

If just for the concept, Alpha Protocol is an ok game. It will continuously attempt to pull you in to both the story and customization features of the game. Unfortunately that is only a small piece of the pie.

If you have Splinter Cell Conviction you would do well to pick up the Insurgency Pack for $10 or 800 MSP. There is a great deal of value for anyone that loves the multiplayer component of the game.

Blur is a fun game. If you like racers, whether sim or arcade, you would do well to pick it up for its insane multiplayer fun. Think Mario Kart for adults and you've got Blur.

Red Dead Redemption is arguably the best Rockstar game to date and can give any of the GTA games a run for their monies.

If you like Sandbox games and have fun thinking outside the box, exploring, and above all blowing crap up, then your money will be well spent in Just Cause 2.

The brilliant visuals, and excellent new combat system were both done exceptionally well. Stand alone these great features are enough to hook many gamers long enough to trek through the 10's of hours of gameplay. But the real star here is the story of Final Fantasy XIII, and Square Enix gets this right, in a big way.

Mass Effect 2 conveys both a grand story, and intimate experience that will most likely be savored by all that come in contact with it. Mass Effect 2 is the result of effective criticisms being taken into consideration and improved upon. Living up to the hype, Mass Effect 2 casts a large shadow over the rest of 2010 if this level of quality is what we now measure by.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is all what you make of it. If you weren’t completely enamored with the features of the first game, you won’t likely appreciate the additions in the sequel.

Rogue Warrior was a waste of time. Don't let the big name publisher fool you, Bethesda is probably for the worse for publishing this title. There is so little done right if anything that it is hard to warrant even the 2 hours it will take you finish the single player campaign, and with controls as flawed and useless as those found in Rogue Warrior I would not recommend even turning on the multi-player component, unless for a good laugh of course.

Ubisoft took all of the fun things from the first game, brought them back, and implemented a host of new game-play variations.

You get a ton of gameplay, challenge, style, and possibly a couple of laughs (depending on your sense of humor) for $10. Super Meat Boy stands shoulder to shoulder with some of best games available on Xbox Live Arcade and you can make a case for it being the best offering out there.

Even with the problems that the game had, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is an awesome time. Whether you are in it for the story, the many things to explore in Rome, or the fantastic freshman multiplayer offering, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is not going to disappoint you.
