Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping stars is fun, but ultimately feels like more of the same. The focus on community levels shows potential, and the concept of tipping is interesting, but the Mario vs. Donkey Kong formula feels tired. Tipping Stars is good, but it’s more apparent than ever this series is ready for a break.

Mario Vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars is not a bad puzzle platformer, it just doesn't bring anything new to the table. The cross-buy between Wii U and 3DS is a welcome bonus, but perhaps this was done because the game feels very much like mini game for your phone and is not very well suited for either of the two systems.

While the maps and enemies could be more varied and interesting, there's no denying that the gameplay is stellar, rewarding you for working closely with your teammates and punishing you otherwise. And best of all, the multi-player system powering the game works flawlessly, making it easy for you to find other people to tackle missions with. The deep upgrade system and customizable loadouts will go a long way towards keeping you engaged long after your first battle. Simply put, Helldivers is a wet dream if cooperative multiplayer games are your thing.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D is an immensely enjoyable experience.  Fifteen years later, the time cycle idea is still fresh and it’s astonishing that more games haven’t attempted to make use of this unique gameplay style.  The game’s dark tone and heavy emphasis on emotion makes it truly stand out among Zelda titles and it is a story that won’t soon be forgotten.  The new features may be minimal, but there’s never been a better way to play the most underrated game in the Zelda series.

The WWE 2K series has experienced a very rough transition to the “next generation” of consoles. After two straight years of solid releases in WWE 13 and 2K14, Yukes has hit a wall. As it is in wrestling, when you hit a wall, you have to figure out what to do next. One thing is clear, this series has taken a large step in the wrong direction. A character change may be required in order to get this series back on track.

Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U exemplifies the best the console —heck, Nintendo itself- has to offer. The overall experience has a trim and polish that is exceptional even by Nintendo’s standards, and while there are a few nitpicks that longtime fans of the series might find, it’s hard to argue against this being the best game in the series to date. There’s never been a better reason to invite a room full of people over to your house.

There was heavy skepticism arising when it comes to Ubisoft Montreal being able to top Far Cry 3. Not only was Far Cry 3 a very impressive game with excellent gameplay, it was not even two years ago when it hit store shelves. Despite that, Far Cry 4 tops Far Cry 3 in every single way imaginable. While the story is still not as silly nor as intriguing as it should be, the unpredictable nature of the gameplay continues to leave it as one of the most enjoyable experiences out there. There is a certain magic to riding an elephant, a certain magic that no other game but Far Cry 4 can achieve.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is a worthy successor to the LBP series and a solid continuation of what made the first and second games such a hit with critics and gamers alike. But even with its new content, including three unique and playable characters, new story missions and updated 1080p graphics, I was left underwhelmed and wishing for more innovation. It’s a great game, but it failed to meet my tremendous expectations first generated from the wildly entertaining and innovative original.
