This is a great and cheap side-scroller. There's also lots of replayability with a huge variety of enemies, weapons, and combos. The biggest turn offs are the difficulty and violence. If you're not ready for that, then you're not ready for Dishwasher.

Dead to Rights: Retribution is a mindless action game, and does that well, unfortunately it doesn't do much else. It lacks interesting objectives and level design. Players most likely won't see much replayability in this title, but it's worth a rental.

The load time suck, the Hell Mask is annoying, and the sin is just way overdone. Go for it, if all of this is excusable for buckets of blood and some good metal. Otherwise, keep your kids away.

Barely managing to set itself apart from the original, Shift 2 Unleashed is a barebones sequel that brings almost no significant elements to the franchise. It's still a decent racer for the uninitiated, but there's too little value here to recommend it to Shift owners.

As a new IP, Homefront plays it very safe and as a result is a pretty drab affair. There's certainly potential here. With better characterization and a longer, more memorable campaign, Homefront could have been so much more. Multiplayer just about saves it, but in an online world ruled by COD and Battlefield it may struggle to stay afloat. If developers learn from their mistakes and affirm Homefront's own identity, we may well see a change in fortunes in the future.

If you just want a good time, Warriors of Rock is worth a rental. Play through songs and enjoy them. It's especially good for those with good taste in heavy metal.

Dragon Age 2 is a decent RPG in its own right. However, as the game is a sequel to the superior Origins, it simply pales in comparison. Some players may appreciate the changes introduced, but most will be left disappointed with this rushed and oversimplified sequel.

Franchise buffs will love it, and the game comes recommended to shooter fans as well. Surpassing the predecessor on almost every level, Killzone 3 is a good sequel and a fun action title in its own right.

Demon's Souls is a game that challenges modern gaming conventions. It's a throwback to the old days of genuine skill to overcome a challenge whilst simultaneously offering something fresh and innovative. Granted it's not for everyone, but those that do allow themselves to become immersed in its world and accept its rules will gradually learn to love it.

Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 is fun, though it is ultimately fans of the series that will be the most pleased. Those interested in the series should check out the original Rearmed game, despite it being a bit more challenging.
