Kao the Kangaroo returns with a big hop in his step and a bright future ahead of him. The quality gameplay and the ease of play for all ages encourage exploration while the occasionally challenging boss fights and platforming encourage cooperation, especially if you're playing with a younger gamer. There are some unfortunate audio bugs and the occasional visual glitch, but as a package, Kao the Kangaroo is leaps and bounds ahead of some recent family-friendly releases.

Z-Warp has that classic arcade magic of making you say ‘just one more go’. I felt immense joy and satisfaction when the electro-metal soundtrack started thumping and I successfully dodged a screenful of death by timing my bomb blasts perfectly. There’s a simple fun to be had with Z-Warp and if you can overlook its limited level set and minor slowdown, you’re in for a blast!

In Nightmare is a good puzzle game that is let down by lengthy periods of boredom. With a tighter focus on the game's strengths, In Nightmare could have been a really good puzzler, but instead, it's dragged down by its poor storytelling and pacing.

Submerged: Hidden Depths is a fun, if short, exploration adventure game. Sailing from ruin to ruin on the hunt for trinkets and items is fun, and supported by a solid tracking system that keeps tabs on the items you have collected versus those you have yet to find. Exploration is enjoyable, supported by a half-decent story to boot, but for many, it will be the repetitive hunt for items that will be make or break. If, like me, you enjoy searching every last nook and cranny for items to tick off a list then Submerged: Hidden Depths will be right up your street.

35MM is a dark and depressing story that's all the more relatable with its re-release on consoles. The slow and deliberate gameplay serves the story, rather than the story serving the gameplay. Make no mistake, it's a little janky and rough around the edges, but it's a journey worth going on all the same.
