MLB 2K10 on PSP is certainly lacking in some very key areas. Most notably, trying to emulate authentic baseball on an under-powered system. Because of technical limitations you’ll see guys sliding around the field while wearing cleats, animations that simply don’t work and a frustrating control scheme during some situations. I’d like to see them re-tool the game modes and the core gameplay so that we get something that feels like it truly belongs on the PSP. Thankfully GM Career is a solid mode and online play works admirably well, though it is disappointing to only have ad hoc rather than infrastructure capabilities. At the end of the day MLB 2K10 will work for you if you’re absolutely desperate for a baseball game that at least appears to be authentic when you first turn on the system. Sadly after a few hours spent with the annoyances that 2K10 presents, you’ll realize that staying home with the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 (or, better yet, the PC) version is the way to go.
