Rocketmen is a game in search of a center. The half-hearted RPG nods, quixotic story treatment and frustrating camera detract from a core of solid gameplay. The basics are there, but Rocketmen's problems overshadow the basic shoot-em-up beneath. If you're dying for a Smash TV wannabe right this minute, give this one a try. Otherwise, wait for something that gets it all right.
Rocketman: Axis of Evil non riesce nell’intento di riportare un genere ai grandi fasti di Contra. Nonostante il tentativo di proporre qualcosa di nuovo aggiungendo una piccola componente gdr (la possibilità di migliorare le caratteristiche del proprio alter ego), i problemi a livello di gameplay e la monotonia degli scenari affossano le possibilità che il titolo ha di spiccare. Tutto il comparto audio/video lascia parecchio a desiderare e anche se la modalità multiplayer riesce dove il singleplayer cade miseramente, dobbiamo a malincuore constatare come il rapporto qualità/prezzo sia decisamente scadente.
