Quel retour fracassant ! Megaman 11 est un modèle pour toutes les licences de l’ère 8-16 bits qui voudraient revenir sur le devant de la scène. Parfaitement maîtrisé, il offre aux fans de la licence le jeu qu’ils attendaient et ouvre ses portes à toute une génération de néophytes. De l’excellence dans les domaines artistiques (surtout les musiques) au rythme parfait de la progression, Mega Man 11 ne pèche que par le manque de prise de risque dans sa structure. En espérant très fort que cet épisode soit le point de départ d’une renaissance pour la série et que Mega Man ne mettra pas 8 ans à revenir.

Megaman 11 regresa justo al sitio en que más cómoda se siente la licencia: las plataformas de espíritu jugable 2D, con todas sus convenciones. A la fórmula se añade una interesante característica que renueva la jugabilidad (Doble Mega) y una accesibilidad que permite a los veteranos disfrutar del reto de siempre, pero también abrir la puerta a nuevos jugadores. De la combinación de todos estos ingredientes resulta un título con sabor a clásico, pero adaptado al presente, con una presentación audiovisual reinventada que encantará a los amantes del bombardero azul… y con un poco de suerte a aquellos que aún no lo sean.

Mega Man 11 me supone la reconciliación completa de Capcom con este personaje icónico de hace ya mas de 20 años y que ha tenido luces y sombras a lo largo de estos años con cambios en la jugabilidad que no han conseguido darle a la franquicia la calidad que se merecía. Esta entrega nos insta a volver a lo clásico, a la esencia mas pura de Mega Man y con una completa accesibilidad para todo tipo de jugadores.

Even if it could stand to benefit from a little something extra, this is still a triumphant return for the Blue Bomber. Mega Man 11 is another stellar entry in the series, plain and simple. The classic gameplay still works as well as it did years ago, and the newer touches courtesy of the graphical enhancements and the Double Gear system are welcome additions. It’s a sweet blend of the old and the new that makes for one rock solid platformer, and one you should check out, even if this is your first experience with the franchise. Welcome back, Mega Man. I know we shouldn’t call it a comeback because you’ve been here for years, but you still know how to deliver a knockout.

The return of the Blue Bomber is something we've all been desperately hoping and waiting for for many years now, and thankfully, Mega Man 11 proves to be a worthy comeback for this industry icon. It successfully modernizes the series in a lot of ways, making sure that it doesn't feel out of place in today's day and age, but does so while making sure that at its core, it still very much feels like the Mega Man we know and love.

Despite not deviating too far from its series’ 30-year long formula, Mega Man 11 is a reminder that Capcom’s Blue Bomber still has more life in him. The new Double Gear System and subweapon Rolodex provide enough of a modern upgrade to make the game stand out from the pack, while the tight controls and familiar story make it feel wholly Mega Man. A misstep in the sound design keeps it from perfection, but it’s only a small blemish on an otherwise fantastic entry in the series.

Mega Man 11 supera con creces lo prometido, comenzando por su faceta jugable que se mantiene intacta pese al gran abanico de opciones para hacer el juego más accesible al público. La inclusión acertada del sistema Double Gear y un apartado gráfico sobresaliente cierran el círculo de un programa que puede antojarse algo corto en duración en su modo campaña a pesar de la inclusión de retos para los jugadores que si dan para bastantes horas de juego.

Pour son trentième anniversaire, Mega Man signe un retour en fanfare. Ce onzième épisode, abouti à tous les étages, a le mérite de s'ouvrir à toutes les catégories de joueurs. Ses idées de gameplay lumineuses, son ambiance, sa difficulté bien dosée et sa qualité de finition en font un titre de choix. L'hommage, mêlant mécaniques d'antan et concepts inédits, prouve que ce volet n'a pas été pris à la légère par Capcom et c'est tant mieux ! On peut donc espérer de futures aventures du Blue Bomber dans les mois à venir.

Mega Man 11 sticks so close to the established formula that it wouldn’t have made much of a splash if it had come out in 2008, or 1998. In fact, it has more in common with 1996’s Mega Man 8 than any other game in the series, and feels like a direct sequel to it. I found Mega Man 11 amusingly difficult even with the help of the time-slowing Double Gear system and there are some cool robot moments, but in a series with such great highs (Mega Man 2, 3, 9,10, specifically) and lows (Mega Man 7), it’s pretty average. The robot bosses are mostly bland and familiar (with the exception of the very silly Block Man – I love that guy), and their imparted weapons are a hit-and-miss collection. But Mega Man plays like he should even with the cutesy but tolerable art style, and that’s good because the challenge is cranked up to 11 and getting through these levels takes old-school precision and patience. Mega Man 11 is a good foundation for the next 10 Mega Man games.

It seems Capcom ran out of inspiration partway through making Mega Man 11, as only half the game’s stages, bosses, and Special Weapons are up to series standards. There’s some old-school fun to be had with the Blue Bomber’s latest if you can ignore the bad stuff, but given the eight-year wait, this feels like a Mega misfire.
