Its fun, creative presentation feels so refreshing and a true escape into something wonderful for people of all ages. Strange Brigade had me yearning for a new Indiana Jones just because I crave that campy kind of adventure. If you're someone who wants something simple yet totally gripping or a fan of Call of Duty's massively popular zombies mode, Strange Brigade is for you. Should you happen to sleep on it, you're likely going to miss out on one of the most enjoyable co-op experiences of 2018.

Strange Brigade è un'esperienza interessante, venduta a un prezzo più che onesto, aspetto che lascia intendere come il team abbia voluto confezionare un titolo molto vicino ai cosiddetti tripla-A, ma più accessibile e dunque alla portata di tutti. Il gioco diverte e lo fa benissimo, sa essere vario, ironico e pare possa riservare ancora diverse sorprese per il futuro con DLC e update che non mancheranno di certo. Tuttavia, Strange Brigade porta con sé alcuni difetti dati probabilmente dal fatto che il titolo fosse pensato più che altro per un'utenza PC, tra tutti un sistema di puntamento che risulta un po’ ostico da padroneggiare anche con la mira assistita attiva, e la presenza di testi su schermo molto piccoli e difficili da leggere. Tuttavia, a parte piccoli i difetti di gioventù che speriamo possano presto trovare una soluzione, il gioco ha molto da offrire: se la modalità storia non dovesse bastarvi, potrete cimentarvi nella classica modalità orda in compagnia degli amici o sfidare la community di tutto il mondo in una scalata al punteggio migliore.

As long as you have good company, Strange Brigade is an expedition worth undertaking. However, that doesn’t excuse the many issues the title has. The game would have benefited from refinements both to the aiming system, as well as puzzle design. Still, this cadaver-blasting, treasure looting adventure is an enjoyable enough reason to gather a few friends together for, as long as you know what you’re getting into.

Le contenu est bien là, l’ambiance aussi, à vous de voir si vous êtes un vétéran du genre. Dans ce cas-là Strange Brigade vous paraîtra un poil trop simple. En revanche le jeu est parfait pour les débutants de la coopération ou pour ceux qui se jettent sur le Live sans un ami au bout du casque. Beaucoup plus nerveux dans son gameplay que Sniper Elite Zombi Army du même studio, Strange Brigade joue la carte du second degré assumé pour nous porter avec son ambiance légère et son gameplay accessible. Le jeu parfait pour se délasser en fin de journée finalement, du genre qui ne s’embarrasse pas avec des cinématiques et qui se concentre uniquement sur l’action.

Cavalcando il clima di nostalgia che permea ormai qualsiasi cosa, Rebellion propone un fps vecchio stile con un gameplay incentrato sul multiplayer e ambientazioni che sembrano essere appena uscite da un film di avventura degli anni 30. Peccato solo che la trasposizione videoludica da cinema a videogioco non sia perfettamente riuscita: se da un lato le atmosfere alla Indiana Jones funzionano perfettamente; dall’altro è proprio la parte ludica che non regala un’esperienza esaltante. I problemi tecnici sono evidenti e spesso tendono a portare alla frustrazione anche i giocatori che sono disposti a chiudere un occhio su un gameplay non proprio brillante. Questa strana brigata però diverte ed è un buon passatempo per le serate con gli amici, tra una birra e una fetta di pizza. Consigliato a chi vuole tornare in sala giochi, magari appena cala il prezzo del gettone.
