Lost in Random: The Eternal Die va a chiudere il cerchio lasciato in sospeso, non proprio aperto, con la precedente avventura sviluppata da Zoink nel 2021. Riprende esattamente da dove si è conclusa per concentrarsi sul personaggio di Alexandra, sulla sua vendetta nei confronti del Dado Nero, e lo fa con un genere, il roguelite, che ben si applica all'aleatorietà di un mondo come, per l'appunto, Alea. Il gameplay è snello, più complicato a spiegarsi che a giocarsi, dalla forte rigiocabilità anche grazie a una generale brevità dell'avventura; come ogni roguelite/like, è normale che alla lunga possano sopraggiungere la ripetitività o la noia, ma grazie anche a stralci di mitologia qui e lì, nonché a una difficoltà in crescendo dopo aver completato il gioco la prima volta, l'esperienza è sempre capace di tentare per una partita in più. E poi un'altra, e un'altra ancora, fino a perdere un po' la cognizione del tempo che passa.

La PS5 poursuit donc avec Stellar Blade sa lancée des portages d’excellente facture de ses exclusivités phares. Techniquement et visuellement quasiment irréprochable, encore plus plaisant à jouer avec une jouissive fluidité constante (mais de préférence avec une manette), le tout sans connexion au PSN obligatoire, cette version PC du titre de Shift Up met donc encore la barre très haut. Si vous l’attendiez pour partir à l’aventure en compagnie d’EVE et si vous ne disposez pas d’une PS5 Pro, vous pouvez donc y aller les yeux fermés, sauf si le prix de ses différentes éditions pourrait être un frein pour vous.

Entelechia è un termine che indica un'entità capace di raggiungere il suo massimo grado di sviluppo: Mario Kart World è molto lontano dall'agguantare quest'obiettivo. Il suo DNA è quello di un capolavoro: un sistema di guida mai così vario, preciso e strutturato. Un mondo bellissimo, nell'architettura e nell'aspetto. Delle animazioni sopraffine, una realizzazione dell'acqua splendida. Una colonna sonora enorme e ricercata. Il tutto limitato da scelte di design discutibili: la rimozione della Modalità Classica, i ventiquattro piloti (troppi, davvero troppi), i pochi tracciati nella (eccelsa) Modalità Sopravvivenza, la Corsa Libera un po' abbandonata a sé stessa. Avrebbe potuto essere un capolavoro, e con gli aggiornamenti forse lo diventerà: al momento, è "soltanto" un gran bel gioco, con una produzione magistrale.

At around five hours long, Discolored 2 is longer and more developed than its predecessor, offering a more substantial experience. It still leaves much to the imagination, but there is a bit more attention paid to the story now, though this is a game that focusses much more on the how rather than the why. It respects the player’s intelligence and curiosity and provides a decent level of challenges to progress. Even when a puzzle frustrates, you’re never stuck long enough for it to wear you down completely, and the reward for seeing it through is usually satisfying, especially when it results in more colour bursting forth into a previously dreary, monochromatic world. If returning players are hoping for answers they didn’t get the first time around, that’s not going to happen as the sequel is still very abstract. But the pieces provided here work well together to create a whole that is effectively mysterious and, most importantly, fun to play.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die è un roguelite tutto basato sulle sinergie tra armi, potenziamenti e meccaniche a disposizione del personaggio, che crea effetti molto divertenti sulla partita e che si gioca su un sistema di power up da distribuire con intelligenza su una griglia. Il nuovo corso del franchise è davvero intrigante, e sebbene paghi un po' per la mancanza di spessore e di mistero, è impossibile non ammettere che sia ben riuscito. Infatti, ne avremmo voluto ancora di più! Questa volta il lancio del dado è stato fortunatissimo per Stormteller Games, e la nuova faccia di Lost in Random ci ha convinti pienamente.

Non si può certo affermare che Lost in Random: The Eternal Die sia un brutto progetto, sia chiaro, ma la sensazione di essere davanti a un lavoro decisamente meno coraggioso del previsto è forte e netta. Parliamo comunque di un buon roguelite che riesce, con una certa intelligenza (e con astuzia), ad attirare i fan del genere grazie a numerose combinazioni di abilità e a un fattore imprevedibilità che valorizza la rigiocabilità generale. Se pensiamo, però, a tutto il potenziale legato alla narrazione e al comparto artistico del mondo di Alea, con le sue critiche e i racconti grotteschi, non può che rimanere un po’ di rammarico.

È un peccato che non ci sia più casualità ad ogni partita, ma nonostante ciò, vale assolutamente la pena (considerando anche il prezzo budget) passare un po' di ore a tirare i dadi con Aleksandra. PRO Funzionamento delle reliquie davvero intelligente | un fantastico Roguelite con combattimenti divertenti | armi divertenti da utilizzare | Bellissima art e sound design ... CONTRO ... anche se una maggiore diversificazione non avrebbe guastato | avremmo gradito una maggiore casualità fra una partita e l'altra

Splitgate 2 is an interesting sequel. In a lot of ways, it fixes the issues we had with the original; it looks nicer, runs better, gameplay is far improved, there’s a lot of content on offer, and the portal mechanic is good fun to learn. It's a great pick for those casual sessions with your mates, but we still can't help but feel underwhelmed by it all. The maps are fine, and the cosmetics are dull as dishwater. If you removed the portal mechanics — which were arguably more freeing in the first Splitgate — you'd be left with a competent, but ultimately uninspired shooter.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is officially off to the races, and Mario Kart World is a great way to get things started. The first brand-new Mario Kart in a decade makes huge changes to the established formula, but ironically, the best parts about it closely follow the blueprint of every entry that’s come before: unbeatable local multiplayer racing on well-designed tracks that more than live up to the series’ legacy. World’s tight controls, celebratory soundtrack, and universal polish marvelously complement the action, and I can’t wait to see how top players will take full advantage of its exciting parkour mechanics in the months and years ahead. The way Nintendo built 30 courses into an interconnected series of highways is undeniably impressive, too, but Mario Kart’s first attempt at an open world is also fairly uneven across its variety of modes. The clear standout among the new ways to play is Knockout Tour, a thrilling battle royale that makes the best use of World’s intertwined roads. But when you add in frustrating online multiplayer limitations and some head-scratching design decisions around the interface and unlockables that will hopefully be fixed in future updates, World feels like it was hit with a blue shell right before the finish line. Still, Mario Kart World’s chassis is so strong that, with a few key tune-ups, I’m confident it will eventually end up popping champagne in victory lane.

Mario Kart World è il capitolo più ambizioso della serie, capace di portare una ventata di freschezza con l'eccezionale modalità Sopravvivenza e un gameplay accessibile e divertente. L'idea di un mondo interconnesso è un passo audace che amplia le possibilità di esplorazione, anche se l'open world risulta un po' scarno e alcune integrazioni appaiono disordinate. Nonostante queste imperfezioni, il titolo si conferma solido e coinvolgente, capace di offrire ore e ore di intrattenimento soprattutto in compagnia. Non ancora il Mario Kart definitivo, ma un passo importante verso qualcosa che potrebbe diventarlo - anche solo con aggiornamenti mirati e DLC.

Dès son annonce, MindsEye a attiré notre attention et le studio Build A Rocket Boy est parvenu à nous hyper. Hélas, au fil des mois, la communication très étrange du studio a transformé notre excitation en méfiance, jusqu’à nous faire douter. Force est de constater qu’on avait vu juste. MindsEye est clairement le gros raté de cette première partie de l’année. Un jeu qui n’est pas terminé, extrêmement buggué, instable, dépassé techniquement sur tous les points, avec une histoire intéressante, mais vraiment mal écrite. Cela nous donne un titre sans réel intérêt, qui vous occupera entre 10 et 12h. Comme quoi, même quand on s’appelle Leslie Benzies et que l’on a été le producteur de l’une des plus grosses saga de jeu vidéo et de la pop culture, cela ne fait pas tout pour diriger le développement complet d’un jeu qui se voulait être ambitieux et qui, finalement, est le pétard mouillé de l’été. On espère que le studio parviendra à proposer les mises à jour nécessaires, rapidement, pour permettre au moins d’avoir un jeu stable, sans bug.
