CRYSTAR non è un action RPG originale, e cerca quindi di compensare a livello contestuale e tematico. L'intera avventura consiste in una discesa nelle varie aree del Purgatorio, da esplorare facendo piazza pulita di eventuali nemici. Metà dell'esperienza consiste nell'esplorazione di storia e psiche dei vari personaggi presenti, l'altra metà nel potenziamento delle quattro protagoniste per arrivare finalmente a salvare la sorella di Rei. Direzione artistica e atmosfera sono convincenti, il comparto tecnico su Nintendo Switch molto meno; e in verità si poteva fare qualcosa di più anche per il gameplay in sé, dato che i combattimenti divertono, ma tutto ciò è lungi dall'appagare pienamente. Un titolo discreto, insomma, nulla di più - arricchito, questo sì, dalla portabilità della console Nintendo. Valutate voi se per il Purgatorio c'è ancora tempo.
