Despite its missed opportunities and ideas that don't gel with the core gameplay, developer Fabraz's foray into three-dimensional platforming remains a fun-if-flawed hearkening to the genre's glory days. By far the studio's best trait in Demon Turf is in its relentless distilling of what made those original 3D platformers not just a joy to play, but a joy to finally see beaten. There are plenty of tricks on show and when the game allows time for the gameplay to do the talking is when the satisfaction of Demon Turf is at its highest. It's everything around it that, while not entirely damaging, does sully things on occasion. Regardless, this is so clearly a game crafted with love for the genre, but understanding too that mere nostalgia alone can't be a game's only redeeming feature. Perhaps it's that same insistence on expanding its base and incorporating more ideas than necessary that leads the game to momentary bumps along the way. But even a rough spot or two can't stop Demon Turf from successfully facilitating demand for a well-crafted platformer sure to test even veterans of the genre.

Brillante, vario, splendido da vedere e magnifico da giocare, Forza Horizon 5 riesce nell'arduo compito di superare il suo predecessore. Sebbene non manchino parecchi momenti in cui si bada molto alla quantità, facendo affiorare un forte senso di già visto, il nuovo capitolo della serie è una prepotente dimostrazione di forza e il primo vero ruggito di questa nuova generazione, che è finalmente entrata nel vivo. Disponibile fin dal primo giorno su Game Pass, Forza Horizon 5 riuscirà a intrattenervi per moltissime ore senza farvi avvertire reali momenti di stanca. Il re delle corse arcade è ancora sul suo intoccabile trono.

Ultimately, you likely know what you’re in for with Just Dance 2022. There are a great range of new songs here, with some fun and challenging choreography and nice new visual styles that freshen things up somewhat. Add in Unlimited and you’ve potentially a game to last you a lifetime – if you’re willing to pay up. If you’ve not been won over up to now then this isn’t the game to change your mind, but fans of the series can expect yet another solid entry to enjoy until next year’s release.

With extensive and satisfying party customization, excellent combat, and challenging enemies, Shin Megami Tensei V never left me feeling bored or burned out across its epic length. Exploration and platforming sections lend some much-needed variety when you're fighting so many similar battles in a row. I just couldn't shake the feeling that this was Persona without the heart – without the unforgettable companion characters, the potent personal story, the incredible soundtrack, and the jaw-dropping twists and turns. Still, if you're looking for a meaty, demanding, endlessly deep, and overall outstanding JRPG to sink your teeth into, Shin Megami Tensei V has heaping portions of it.

Shin Megami Tensei V is a masterfully made JRPG and fascinating work of art. While the characters could have used more fleshing out and the leveling curve is wildly uneven, it’s still incredibly fun with thrilling combat and a gripping plot.

A stylish throwback to a couple of decades ago, this platformer will appeal mainly to those who still miss the Dreamcast. A few niggles with the camera, a couple of minor bugs and some rather harsh difficulty spikes stop it from being a world-beater, but it's a solid piece of fun despite these small issues.

Three-dimensional platforming isn’t as ubiquitous as it once was. As such, Demon Turf’s explorations are welcome, especially on non-Nintendo hardware. There’s a learning curve associated maneuvering a 2D sprite through a 3D world. But chances are you will acclimate, just like you might have done before the turn of the millennium.
