Phoenix Point: Behemoth Edition offers the same wealth of content available on the PC, and the controller support is good enough for those willing to overlook some fiddly inventory and menu management. However, the technical performance is far beneath what it should be, so your best bet is to wait for the promised patches to arrive, or simply enjoy a smoother ride on PC if you can.

Super Robot Wars 30 celebra i trent'anni di un franchise iconico per tanti appassionati di robot giapponesi, e lo fa nella maniera migliore: con una distribuzione ufficiale anche in occidente, sebbene limitata alla versione PC disponibile su Steam. Purtroppo sono passati i tempi degli episodi più ricchi dal punto di vista delle serie coinvolte, e così bisogna accontentarsi delle nuove versioni dei vari Mazinger e Getter, accompagnate da personaggi recenti e new entry, nonché da un netto depotenziamento degli OG. Allo stesso modo, il gameplay strategico della saga non si è evoluto più di tanto e anzi ha introdotto qualche concessione di troppo all'accessibilità. Il risultato finale è un titolo piacevole ma attempato e costosetto, che tuttavia non mancherà di entusiasmare chi non vede l'ora di guidare nuovamente in battaglia gli eroi della propria infanzia.

Es una lástima lo de Echo Generation, porque le ha faltado muy poco para sentenciar lo que habría sido uno de los mejores indies del año. Se queda a medio camino por unos combates RPG muy desequilibrados, que se traducen en una progresión poco satisfactoria. No obstante, sería una pena que solo por eso dejaras de probarlo, porque tiene una estética encantadora, una trama simple pero atractiva, así como unas ideas jugables con el potencial de atraparte.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water is a uniquely thrilling horror experience. Armed with only a camera and your wits, the tension is palpable and oozes out of every nook and cranny of Mt. Hikami and the surrounding areas. The camera serves to be as trusty of a weapon as a gun and adds a distinct tension to the action that few games could replicate. The atmosphere, level design, and story all work in tandem to create a surprisingly tense and beautiful experience, despite relying a bit too much on backtracking and having a rather thin story.

As should probably be expected of what's basically a port of the Wii U version, this iteration of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water offers a decidedly average horror experience. The story of Mt. Hikami and those tied to it is rather intriguing, and it is able to create a heavy, disquieting and even chilling atmosphere at times. The fundamentals of combat are strong too, but the entire experience is undermined by pervasive slowness and a not-so-great English dub. Fatal Frame fans will likely enjoy it regardless, as will those looking for a subtler horror game to play for Halloween. For everyone else, though, it might be better to either give Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water a pass or wait until it eventually goes on sale.

Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water celebra i venti anni di Fatal Frame con una remaster che cura l'aspetto dei personaggi, aumenta la risoluzione e raddoppia il frame rate ma non va ad agire sulla qualità degli scenari, che presentano texture in bassissima definizione. Mancanze tecniche che si aggiungono a quelle del gioco originale del 2015, già di per sé datato sotto molti aspetti, ma non ne intaccano l'incredibile atmosfera e la direzione artistica. Sono proprio questi elementi a rendere ancora oggi affascinante l'ultimo episodio di Fatal Frame, pur con tutti i suoi evidenti limiti.
