Milestone semble avoir préféré la forme pour cette saison 2021. Les paysages sont plus fournis, les effets visuels plus travaillés tout comme les différentes modélisations (motos et motards). Mais le fond stagne, offrant guerre plus que l'année passée, notamment dans le mode Carrière, voire moins si vous considérez l'absence du mode Historique ainsi que les MotoE. Si l'épisode est plutôt bon avec des ajouts justifiés qui poussent la simulation encore plus loin tout en laissant le titre abordable à tous, il paraît difficile d'expliquer le trou dans le contenu. Un épisode mitigé qui semble appeler un prochain exercice plus généreux.

Mission Accomplished Mass Effect Legendary Edition, centra in pieno l’obiettivo di ringiovanire una delle trilogie più importanti della storia dei videogames e che rappresenta anche il manifesto di un certo modo di “fare videogames”, quello di Bioware. Negli ultimi anni la compagnia non se l’è di certo passata bene. Dopo la clamorosa disfatta di Anthem e le critiche (non tutte giuste) che Mass Effect: Andromeda ha ricevuto, in molti pensavano che il lustro di un tempo per quella software house che ci ha regalato pietre miliari del videogioco come Jade Empire, MDK2, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Dragon Age e la saga di Mass Effect appunto, fosse oramai passato. Ci piace per questo pensare che la riuscita opera di rimasterizzazione attuata con Mass Effect Legendary Edition, possa rappresentare al contempo anche un reboot per la software house stessa e un piacevole prologo di ciò che ci aspetta nel futuro Mass Effect 4. Creating a grand interplanetary civilisation is one thing, but managing the needs and supplies of the subjects is tough work. Before We Leave makes logistics an easy, streamlined process through an intuitive UI and readability across its design. The fun lays in ironing out the kinks in your immense system and achieving a sustainable economy, all to overcome impending doom. While there is some underlying mundanity, the overwhelming joy and optimism the game extrudes from the player cannot be understated. And hey, if you grow tired of the system, you can always sabotage it from the inside to try and teach your Peeps to live free and naked.

Maneater is a decent open-world Shark game. It's fun slicing through the water as a shark. The Switch version holds up, although it doesn't fix the repetitiveness of the game. If you want a game where you can just swim around an open world without thinking too much, Maneater will give you something to sink your teeth into and thrash the life out of it for ten hours or so. Also still got the song stuck in my head in case you were wondering, I hope it’s in yours too.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister è un gioco di ruolo divertente e ben realizzato, fondato su un ottimo e ben rodato sistema di combattimento, capace di appagare ogni amante della tattica, oltre che su un'esperienza di stampo avventuroso che riproduce fedelmente le atmosfere di una bella sessione di Dungeons & Dragons. L'opera prima di Tactical Adventures non ambisce a ridefinire gli standard della narrativa fantasy, ma dopo tutto nemmeno gli era richiesto e anche senza disporre di una storia eccezionale Solasta rimane un gioco di ruolo decisamente valido, che ha tanto da offrire a qualunque appassionato del genere.

Recuperando ed espandendo la formula di gioco imbastita da Stasis, Beautiful Desolation conferma il talento dei The Brotherhood nel realizzare avventure punta e clicca accattivanti tanto sul fronte narrativo quanto sotto il profilo estetico. Il viaggio di Mark Leslie è un intrigante andirivieni fra gli anfratti di un mondo fantascientifico che non attende altro di essere esplorato, ricco di personaggi folcloristici e costellato di tanti piccoli cocci di "lore" che è un piacere rimettere assieme fra un enigma e il successivo. Va detto che non si tratta di un'esperienza per tutti i palati, tecnicamente piuttosto ancorata al passato di genere e alquanto esposta a possibili momenti di stallo, qualora non si ponga estrema attenzione alle numerose parti dialogate. Sono comunque questioni che difficilmente peseranno ai fan degli adventure vecchio stampo, di cui Beautiful Desolation, nello scenario videoludico odierno, sa farsi portavoce in maniera a dir poco convincente.

If you’re in the mood to hunker down with an interesting story, off-beat characters and a sci-fi adventure across time and space, Beautiful Desolation fits the bill nicely. Just be sure to have a second screen handy with an online guide to smooth out the journey.
