Crying Suns is still as much of an engaging tactical space battler as it ever was. It has an interesting story that is beautifully presented, sounds great and a welcome addition to the Switch library. Alt Shift has tweaked and updated it since the initial release and the game is just that little bit more refined for the effort. I would have scored this current version a little higher than I did in 2019 but the clunky controls re-level the playing field.

World's End Club è una storia interattiva sorretta da una trama interessante inframmezzata da fasi di gameplay dimenticabili. Chi è in cerca di situazioni misteriose, colpi di scena e approfondimenti progressivi dei personaggi si godrà almeno una decina di ore di questo strano viaggio. Al contrario, chi pensa di approcciarlo principalmente per le fasi d'azione resti adeguatamente alla larga.

La versione Nintendo Switch di World's End Club corregge le mancanze narrative dell'edizione Apple Arcade e restituisce un gioco effettivamente completo e una storia godibile e pienamente strutturata. Restano intatti, tuttavia, i problemi che avevamo già riscontrato sul fronte del gameplay: la soluzione dell'action adventure in 2D a scorrimento è interessante ma poco rifinita, con un level design troppo semplice e banale rispetto al potenziale dato dal cast e dalle caratteristiche dei personaggi. La narrazione e il modo in cui questa si compone in maniera anche non lineare rappresentano allora gli elementi fondamentali del gioco, tenendo insieme la sua natura composita tra visual novel e action adventure e imbrigliandoci nel suo strano mondo e nelle sue atmosfere fra thriller psicologico, racconto di formazione on the road e anime isekai.
