Stranded Deep è un survival nudo e crudo, più indicato ai grandi fan del genere che non ai neofiti. La produzione di Beam Team si propone come un’alternativa essenziale e fieramente hardcore ai vari Rust, ARK e simili, ma finisce per inciampare - almeno su console - su un comparto tecnico approssimativo e un adattamento del sistema di controllo tutt’altro che impeccabile. Se siete disposti a passare sopra a queste mancanze, non avete nessun interesse a giocare online e non avete paura di venire abbandonati alla mercé della natura selvaggia (senza ulteriori spiegazioni, immediatamente dopo aver concluso un breve e scheletrico tutorial...) l’opera di Beam Team potrebbe comunque tenervi compagnia per un bel quantitativo di ore.

Riddled with repetition, Biomutant is as grand in ambition as it is bland in execution. Where it shines in character creation and choice, it fumbles in its narrative and empty morality system. Where building your powers, weapons, and toys is great, finding all the parts to do so is simply a chore. Odd to say, but in this case, less might have been more, but what is here is fun. Just not as fun as it could have been.

Non lasciatevi ingannare dalle apparenze, Solasta: Crown of the Magister non sarà quel capolavoro tecnologico, in alcuni frangenti è davvero spigoloso e la storia è di quelle che finiscono subito sullo sfondo, ma quando si tratta di combattimenti e costruzione dei personaggi, l'opera di Tactical Adventures si rivela un cRPG secondo a pochi.

Miitopia ha un obbiettivo non palesato, ma estremamente chiaro: far vivere l'esperienza di un RPG a chi è troppo giovane o inesperto (o svogliato, o disinteressato) per affrontare quelli più complessi e maturi. Riesce benissimo nel suo intento, soprattutto grazie ai Mii, e agli esilaranti contesti narrativi che generano: potreste affrontare l'intera avventura con vostro fratello, uno mago e l'altro guerriero, potreste vedere la vostra fidanzata aiutare Voldemort, mentre Fantozzi, qui novello sacerdote, vi cura in battaglia. E questi sono solo esempi improvvisati. L'avventura è lunga, circa trenta ore. Per chiunque non rientri nelle categorie descritte a inizio commento si tratta di un RPG estremamente semplice, facile, ed eccessivamente ripetitivo: un'opera da non prendere in considerazione. Ma non per questo si può parlare di un progetto insensato, anzi.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground is a solid turn-based strategy game that has some fun in its small corner of Games Workshop’s fantasy universe, but it isn’t unique or exciting enough to overcome ill-fitting roguelike mechanics that turn progression into a grind. The game will still appeal to some hardcore fans, and may become a better experience with updates, but for now, this latest Warhammer adaptation is routed by a few bad strategic choices.

Overall, there are parts of Asha in Monster World that are a little rusty, and the end product could've used more than just the tweaking we ended up getting. While fans of the Mega Drive game may enjoy revisiting it, they may also be disappointed that there's not a whole lot that's new. Still, the elements that made it such a classic in the first place — the endearing protagonist, the delightful game world — are still present, and all of that still holds up brilliantly even after nearly thirty years.

Very Very Valet ha il potenziale giusto per diventare un must tra i party game in multiplayer cooperativo offline, prendendo varie caratteristiche dal celebre Overcooked ma proponendo anche una meccanica di gioco sostanzialmente nuova e ben congegnata. Va preso per quello che è, ovvero un gioco da fruire esclusivamente insieme ad altri e in presenza, prestandosi anche al multiplayer in famiglia per utenti di ogni età, cosa che rappresenta sempre un buon plus. Tra un sistema di guida arcade ben impostato e la simpatia che riesce a scaturire con la sua caratterizzazione, emergono alcuni difetti nella ripetitività della struttura, che viene solo parzialmente mitigata dall'inserimento di alcune variabili nei livelli o dagli stage bonus, e in un level design che alterna ottime trovate a soluzioni un po' troppo aleatorie e forzatamente confusionarie, anche al di là di quanto sia lecito in un contesto folle come questo.
