Shockingly creative in its fantasy fiction setup and addictive in its largely automated gameplay, Loop Hero is something new and interesting in the realm of RPGs and it does not disappoint. It stops short of being revolutionary though, and its reliance on a tired grind and dull stats is weak in comparison to roguelikes that emphasize trying unique new builds over optimizing existing combos. That gives it a shorter lifespan than many of its contemporaries – but there’s nothing quite like it.

Loop Hero è originale, potenzialmente dura un sacco e costa pure poco. Se riuscite a passare sopra allo stile grafico (sempre che non amiate alla follia tutto ciò che è retro), al fatto che è in inglese e che non si riesce a smettere di giocare, avrete trovato una delle prime perle indie di questo 2021.

When it is all said and done though, In Rays of the Light is a really good, if brief, atmospheric adventure that will provide players at least some moments of introspection. Noskov made a game that captures the mood and of his previous titles quite easily in the visuals and sound design, and offers an experience with some pretty solid standout moments. While it may stumble with its narrative at times, In Rays of the Light is still a small title worth checking out.

Vor allem in der ersten Hälfte seiner zwei bis drei Spielstunden erschafft In Rays of the Light eine angenehm abgeschiedene Adventure-Atmosphäre. Wer selbst schon einmal ein leer stehendes Bauwerk erforscht hat oder ein Faible für Videos verlassener Orte besitzt (häufig „Lost Places“ genannt), dürfte sich sofort wohl fühlen. Der Großteil der Puzzles ist zwar simpel gehalten, sorgt aber für einen angenehmen Rhythmus beim Erkunden. Das gilt allerdings nicht mehr für die zweite Spielhälfte. Der Abstieg zu noch finstereren Themen sorgt zwar für einen willkommenen Wechsel in der Dramaturgie, dann stehen allerdings auch verwirrende Touren durch verwinkelte Keller an. Hier hätte es vermutlich geholfen, wenn sich Noskov fürs Remake zusätzliche Hilfe für den Feinschliff beim Rätsel- und Leveldesign organisiert hätte. Weniger störend wirken die vielen kleinen grafischen Macken, die vor allem auf den technisch schwächeren Systemen wie der PS4 Pro oder der Switch auftreten. Wer für die Qualitäten eines Geheimtipps auch mal die Zähne zusammenbeißt, dürfte also trotz einiger Unzulänglichkeiten auf seine Kosten kommen! Eine Xbox-One-Fassung wird übrigens ebenfalls angeboten.

Il Cartello a casa tua! Cartel Tycoon già in early access si dimostra un titolo dalla struttura solida, ben oliata, fresca da vedere e ricchissima di contenuti. Eventi procedurali di trama e struttura roguelike costituiscono le basi per un'altissima rigiocabilità e gli amanti del genere potranno sviluppare molteplici strategie per giungere al medesimo risultato, ovvero istituire il proprio incontrastabile Impero della droga, il proprio Cartello. Comparto grafico pulito ed accattivante ed una soundtrack coinvolgente completano l'opera. Non siamo a livelli di complessità di Tropico 6, ma sicuramente il titolo di Moon Moose farà breccia nel cuore degli appassionati. PRO CONTRO

Sur PS5, The Sinking City profite d’une version plus peaufinée et d’une plus grande élégance visuelle. Le système technique même de la console rend l’aventure beaucoup plus plaisante et confortable, tant les problèmes ne sont que peu nombreux et les temps de chargement bien réduits. Mélangeant un gameplay ressemblant aux Sherlock Holmes et un scénario plongé dans l’horreur de type Lovecraftienne, The Sinking City est une belle découverte qui saura autant vous faire froid dans le dos par moments que vous émerveiller à d’autres. On ne pourrait que vous conseiller de partir à la découverte d’Oakmont, si vous êtes amateur/amatrice de jeux d’action-aventure avec des énigmes et une atmosphère saisissante.

Un ottimo sequel! Bravely Default II è un buon JRPG, longevo e ricco di cose da fare, e caratterizzato da un racconto complessivamente interessante. Legato indissolubilmente ad una concezione romantica e arcaica del concetto di gioco di ruolo giapponese, il titolo di Square Enix si pone come un ottimo esponente del genere Non riesce comunque ad ergersi come un degno successore del primo capitolo. Se da un lato non possiamo lamentarci di quanto visto sul fronte artistico, sono il gameplay e la struttura in generale del character design a lasciarci un po’ amareggiati. Il team sembra infatti aver deciso di tener premuto il freno a mano in maniera troppo decisa su troppi aspetti. Certo, rimane sicuramente un acquisto obbligatorio per i fan del genere, ma ci saremmo aspettati sicuramente qualcosina in più da un simile prodotto. PRO - Longevo, ricco di cose da scoprire e da fare - Livello di sfida sempre elevato e che costringe i giocatori ad un approccio molto tattico - Artisticamente molto ispirato... CONTRO - ... ma tecnicamente non abbastanza! -Storia interessante, ma poco originale -Curva di difficoltà non sempre bilanciata al meglio. -Personaggi accattivanti, ma non ben caratterizzati come quelli del primo capitolo.
