F1 Manager 2024 doesn't completely escape the pitfalls that come with being an annual series, though evolutionary changes make this a welcome third outing. New features like creating your own team offer strong customization options, and securing victories with a tailor-made squad feels even sweeter than building upon an existing one. The mechanical faults and expanded sponsorship systems add welcome strategic depth, too. Several flaws like the tedious contracts system and sprint format, could use further work, and some lingering issues like collision damage haven’t been solved, but this is still Frontier's best take on a Formula 1 management sim yet.

Video games are often used as a form of escapism, and Dungeons of Hinterberg is a great example of this, allowing players to explore and fight their way through a breathtakingly beautiful and magical alpine setting. Each element is simple in its design, but the most impressive thing about Microbird’s work is just how well it all works together to create a compelling experience. Everything feels carefully balanced as not to overshadow something else, and the result is a game that is well-paced and engaging until the end. 2024 has been a stellar year for indie titles and Dungeons of Hinterberg is up there with the best of them.

F1 Manager 2024 is certainly the best game in the series to date thanks to the small improvements on last year's game, but with few significant changes and how hit and miss the new mentality system currently is, while it might be a good game in its own right, it's not a sizeable upgrade on 2023's iteration.

Given its low price, Nobody Wants to Die may be worth checking out for the visual style and unique atmosphere, but the basic gameplay and underwhelming story make for a forgettable adventure.

À l'heure où la culture japonaise est surexploitée par les studios de jeux vidéo, Kunitsu-Gami : Path of the Goddess tire son épingle du jeu avec brio. Le titre est une véritable surprise visuelle qui bénéficie d'un gameplay cadré, efficace et toujours empli de curiosité. La réflexion est réellement mise au premier plan, ce qui ravira les stratèges amateurs. Kunitsu-Gami est aussi un excellent jeu d'action, dont il faut maitriser les subtilités pour arriver à le dompter complètement. Malgré quelques petites faiblesses au niveau de la narration ou encore de l'aspect de gestion, c'est un coup de cœur que l'on vous recommande vivement de tester cet été !

Anger Foot kicks ass, both figuratively and literally! It’s fast-paced and brutal, with a setting that just begs for you to go wild. Don’t sleep on this incredibly stupid and fun bout of focused chaos.

Avec ses graphismes flamboyants, permis par l’Unreal Engine 5, Nobody Wants to Die a fière allure. Pour le premier jeu de son histoire, le studio Critical Hit Games mise sur l’immersion et la narration. Et c’est vraiment réussi : Nobody Wants to Die nous plonge dans une ville crédible et flippante. Elle est au service d’un polar bien référencé, qui fait un peu penser à Blade Runner. Nobody Wants to Die n’a pas un gameplay très ambitieux (on est un peu trop guidé et l’action est en retrait). Mais on lui pardonne facilement, tant le reste est maîtrisé. Pendant environ 5 heures, on se cramponne à son piège, effrayé par cette vision d’un monde où l’immortalité est devenue une bien sombre et triste réalité.

SCHiM is a delight of a game. Taking a concept that some of us may have played out in our heads as kids, imaging something jumping across the shadows or us jumping ourselves, and have turned that into a beautiful game. Without words, without facial expressions, and limiting color palettes, SCHiM manages to make something really unique.

Nobody Wants to Die est peut-être l’une des petites surprises de cette année. Narrativement, le premier jeu de Critical Hit Games s’avère très immersif et implique beaucoup le joueur avec son univers Cyberpunk visuellement somptueux, et son histoire d’enquête policière sur fond de manipulations politiques et autres questionnements et remise en questions sur l’immortalité. Le tout est servi par une brochette d’acteurs largement impliqués sur le plan vocal. Mais si le jeu est une réussite totale sur le plan purement narratif, il en propose le minimum syndical en ce qui concerne le gameplay. Les phases d’enquêtes sont, pour ainsi dire, on ne peut plus guidées, et les interactions avec cet univers, si riche et visuellement beau, sont extrêmement limités. Si un système de dialogues est bien proposé, celui-ci n’impact que les tout derniers instants du jeu. Pas forcément de quoi renouveler indéfiniment l’expérience. Néanmoins, à moins de 25€, ce serait une énorme erreur que de passer à côté, même si l’expérience n’excède pas les 6h de jeu.
