Dungeons of Hinterberg proves that it’s always good to step outside of your comfort zone; it went from being not on my radar at all to winning me over almost completely. With brilliantly crafted dungeons, a surprisingly effective social-upgrade mechanic, and some genuinely fun powers to use, there’s a lot to like here once you get past the slower opening sections.

Kunitsu Gami : Path of the Godess parvient à mélanger l’action et la stratégie de manière très brillante et parvient à nous surprendre de manière continue afin d’éviter une lassitude certaine. Bien que le cœur du gameplay soit identique, les détails changent, changeant ainsi toute la dimension stratégique. Si l’on peut penser que les coups d’épée sont au centre du jeu il n’en est rien. C’est la mise en place des divers éléments qui sont les plus importants, sans oublier la gestion de vos ressources. De plus, la gestion cyclique jour/nuit est brillamment utilisé et la direction artistique colle parfaitement avec les différents cycles pour notre plus grande immersion. Cependant, la difficulté non linéaire est assez compliquée à gérer et peut rebuter les moins patients.

Earth Defense Force 6 is yet another riotous entry in one of the most ridiculous and corny series ever to make very poor use of our fancy gaming hardware. It looks at least a decade out of date, is absolutely dripping with plot holes and awful voice acting, and has some of the silliest combat I’ve seen in a long time – but all of that only works to its credit, coming together as a game I’ve happily lost dozens of hours of my life to while giggling like an idiot. Not all of its rough edges add to its charm, though, and an overly long campaign filled with repetitive levels and some irritating design choices definitely work against it. But those things are pretty easy to forgive when you accidentally blow your friends up with a rocket launcher that sends giant ants sailing into the air and skyscrapers crumbling into rubble.

It’s the same old EDF in terms of graphics, gameplay, and the swarm of (mostly intentional) bugs but online co-op and a mountain of content means it still holds a special charm.

Asphalt Legends Unite si conferma un racer arcade sensazionale e rappresenta un importante passo in avanti per la serie Gameloft, che diventa multipiattaforma e introduce nuove modalità multiplayer cross-platform nel tentativo di aumentare ulteriormente la sua già enorme base installata. Portare il gioco anche su PC, PlayStation, Xbox e Nintendo Switch ha ovviamente comportato un impegno non da poco per il team di sviluppo francese, ma dal punto di vista degli utenti iOS e Android più affezionati l'aggiornamento appare inevitabilmente meno corposo di quanto si sperasse.

I think I get it now. Earth Defence Force is like the conventionally unattractive partner you experimented with in your youth. They were so grateful for your attention, and in turn, really knew how to show their appreciation. A genuine guilty pleasure of the kind that you might be a bit sheepish to introduce to friends because they buck the trend of traditional beauty (and they just sound a bit weird). But goddamn it, you grew from having indulged the relationship with the ugly duckling. It’s great coming back to that partner as I settle into adulthood. They don’t give a shit about how they look, are mostly stable, have a pleasant demeanour, and still aim to please by exploding all over my jorts. Reviewed on PS5 // Review code supplied by publisher

Necesitamos más juegos como Earth Defense Force 6. Juegos que buscan la diversión y la absurdez por encima de todo, que no se preocupan en perseguir tendencias actuales en la industria ni nada por el estilo. Diversión directa y explosiva. Nosotros, muchas armas y cientos de bichos y aliens a los que aniquilar. El toque de Serie B llevado al extremo, junto a su inmensa cantidad de misiones, hacen que el juego sea un auténtico vicio. Sí, su sistema de progresión es un horror, y los niveles que tienen lugar en cuevas o interiores se hacen algo de bola… Pero son pegas «pequeñas» cuando te lo estás pasando tan bien, disfrutando de la cutrez extrema y estás atento por si la consola no explota entre tantos bichos, efectos y explosiones en pantalla. A poco que os guste la Serie B, queráis vivir el «Starship Trooper japonés» y os apetezca una buena dosis de diversión directa sin complicaciones, debéis de probar Earth Defense Force 6. Sí, no reinventa la fórmula de la saga, pero cuando está tan a prueba de bombas e insectos, ¿hace falta cambiar cuando apenas hay juegos así?

Dare un giudizio a Nobody Wants to Die è un vero sforzo. Da un lato la direzione artistica e l’atmosfera sono pressoché perfetti, tra le migliori che abbia mai visto. Dall’altro lato mi sono ritrovato a vedere un gioco che abbandona le sue premesse per diventare qualcosa di introspettivo e caratterizzato da una conclusione che non ho trovato soddisfacente, in ogni modo possa vederla. Ci sono quattro finali nel gioco e non considero positivo nessuno di essi, dal momento che tutta l’ultima parte di gioco risulta fin troppo strana e forzata. Nonostante la sbandata finale, però, il mio giudizio rimane positivo: Nobody Wants to Die è un gioco che merita di essere provato.

F1 Manager è un brand che si muove a passi ragionati. Dopo aver gettato le basi nel 2022 con il capitolo d'esordio, sembra che Frontier voglia continuare a lavorare proprio sulle fondamenta, senza apportare veri e propri cambiamenti alla formula, ma aggiungendo un pezzo per volta, percorrendo un lento piano di sviluppo. A nostro parere un po' di coraggio in più non avrebbe guastato, ma intendiamoci: la grafica è stata migliorata, la modalità "Crea una squadra" era stata chiesta a gran voce dai fan, ci sono diverse limature dell'esperienza di gioco e tutto questo farà la gioia di chi ha passato decine di ore su F1 Manager 2023.

F1 Manager 24 ofrece una experiencia profunda y rica en detalles en la gestión de todos los aspectos de un equipo de este deporte. Con los cambios que se han añadido en esta versión, se ha ido un paso más allá para ofrecer un experiencia que, con algunos defectos, roza el sobresaliente.

6.5 The Star Named EOS, première production de Silver Lining, est vraiment sympa. Avec une histoire aussi touchante que tragique, mais aussi une direction artistique qui arrive à nous accrocher instantanément, le titre réussit son coup. Même le gameplay qui est d’une simplicité enfantine, nous captive avec des énigmes bien ficelées, intelligentes et parfois terriblement malines. Cela dit, on tourne parfois un peu en rond, les énigmes sont inégales, et pas mal d’éléments de gameplay et de narration ont été trop tronqués pour apprécier pleinement le titre qui a pourtant un potentiel fou. On ruminera sur ces détails sans lesquels The Star Named EOS aurait pu devenir un jeu inoubliable. Hélas, il se résumera à un titre assez court qui n’a pas suffisamment exploité ses bonnes idées.

The Star Named EOS propose une belle histoire dans un écrin chaleureux. Grâce à un retournement de situation surprenant, le jeu parvient à nous emporter avec lui dans son voyage. Sous ses atours légers, la gravité nous rattrape pour un final tout en émotion. On regrettera seulement que la narration se précipite par endroit. De même, les puzzles ne renouvellent pas la formule. Heureusement, de bonnes idées de gameplay apportent une plus-value à l’expérience. Pour autant, il manque ce petit truc en plus qui aurait pu faire du jeu un incontournable. Il n'empêche, Silver Lining Studios a produit un titre qui a tout pour faire passer un bon moment aux amateurs de point’n’click, d’énigmes et de walking simulator.

Nobody Wants to Die è un'avventura a base narrativa caratterizzata da un'affascinante ambientazione cyberpunk, che attinge a piene mani da alcune opere piuttosto celebri (Blade Runner, Altered Carbon e un pizzico di Ghost in the Shell) per raccontare una storia interessante e coinvolgente, costruita interamente sui due protagonisti. È vero: il gameplay si limita all'analisi delle scene del crimine e gli sviluppatori non hanno osato sconfinare, infarcendo anzi le meccaniche investigative di suggerimenti contestuali che rendono l'esperienza parecchio guidata, ma non per questo meno piacevole.
