Développé par un seul homme, Nicolas Meyssonnier, Pumpkin Jack est déjà une prouesse pour cette unique raison. L'œuvre ravira les cœurs de tous les nostalgiques de la PS2 et plus particulièrement ceux de MediEvil. Clairement pensés comme un jeu rétro, ses graphismes ainsi que son gameplay possèdent cette fameuse patte qu'avaient les titres d'antan. Malgré une durée de vie limitée, Pumpkin Jack émerveillera avec son atmosphère Halloweenienne, son histoire originale et sa bande-son à toute épreuve.

Pas dénué de défauts, Pumpkin Jack apparaît pourtant comme un jeu absolument idéal pour fêter Halloween. Son ambiance spécialement bien orchestrée entraîne le joueur dans une aventure assez courte mais plutôt intense sans oublier de proposer une petite dose de rejouabilité. Globalement le titre développé par Nicolas Meyssonnier a le mérite d'offrir une expérience vidéoludique sympathique qui plaira aussi bien aux enfants qu'aux joueurs en recherche d'expériences plutôt old-school.

À défaut de vouloir proposer une expérience réellement innovante, Pumpkin Jack se veut un bel hommage aux anciens jeux de plateforme 3D. Le titre de Nicolas Meyssonnier s'inspire des plus grands et offre une expérience satisfaisante bien qu'entachée par une durée de vie limitée et un aspect un peu répétitif.

The Survivalists is just an OK game that you will probably enjoy for a few weeks and then put away and never play again. It’s a shame because it has the foundations of something excellent, but it’s all just too simple and tedious. If the mechanics were better, the crafting was easier, there were more things to build, more types of mobs, and some clear objective like escaping the island or fighting a series of mini-bosses, we wouldn’t be talking about a little throw-away game, here; we’d be talking about a true hidden gem.

Warsaw is a tough and gritty strategy battle game. It wants to capture the hope and spirit of those struggling through the real historical events of the Second World War in Poland. But I am not sure there is enough of a detach between that theme and the fact you’re playing game. I struggled with the mood of the game and I think was down to the historical era and setting. But fundamentally it is still a tricky and challenging strategy battle game which should appease fans of that genre.

Star Wars : Squadrons n'est qu'un AA dans un monde habitué aux mastodontes économiques mais cela ne l'empêche pas de s'en sortir honorablement. Malgré toutes les conséquences de ce choix économique, à savoir une technique faible et un contenu limité, l'expérience proposée est plaisante pour tous les fans de La Guerre des Étoiles et les autres. Avec son gameplay maîtrisé qui rend les dogfights grisants et son système de répartition de la puissance, Star Wars : Squadrons surprend agréablement et retient. Mais combien de temps ?

As the final entry on the current console generation, NHL 21 underwhelms. It plays a decent game of hockey, but with very few changes on the ice, and the new Be a Pro leaving something to be desired, it doesn't offer much to be excited about for returning fans.
