Sans surprise, ScourgeBringer transforme largement l'essai : nerveux, intelligent et suffisamment accrocheur pour que l'on passe par-dessus une certaine répétitivité, le Rogue-lite de Flying Oak se fait sans mal une place dans un genre pourtant en pleine ébullition. Empruntant avec habileté des éléments de gameplay au jeu d'action comme au shoot'em up, ScourgeBringer ne révolutionne pas le genre, mais profite d'une formule équilibrée qui pousse parfois au dépassement, entre deux explosions de rage. Sans doute réservé aux joueurs avides de défis et aux réflexes aiguisés comme une lame, ce nouveau venu dans le monde concurrentiel du Rogue-lite vous offrira une bonne raison de ne pas sortir après 21 heures. À condition, bien sûr, de baisser le son.

Remothered: Broken Porcelain might be the new horror story driven game this Halloween! With high end visuals and continual story to boot we can only hope new and greater things will come of the series. Remothered deserves to sit along some of the genres best, and Broken Porcelain makes for a fine sequel – here’s hoping the wait isn’t too long for the next entry!

The Red Lantern è un gioco con un'infinità di difetti. È estremamente ripetitivo, tecnicamente claudicante e, praticamente, si gioca da solo, non fornendo al giocatore una vera e propria crescita, ma più che altro solo un aiuto a completare un viaggio insipido e poco avvincente. Si potrebbe dire che è un titolo indipendente, creato da un team molto piccolo, ma, ormai, il mercato videoludico ci ha dato la prova che un'ottima opera può scaturire anche da una sola persona. Quindi sembra difficile trovare delle motivazioni per giustificare il risultato finale. Si sente che il titolo è stato creato con amore e affetto per le tematiche, per la storia e (soprattutto) per i cani, ma ciò non basta più a soddisfare le esigenze di un'industria invasa dalle buone intenzioni.

Attingendo agli elementi più riusciti dei primi due episodi della tetralogia, come il rodato sistema di combattimento a turni e la componente slice of life, Nihon Falcom è riuscita ancora una volta a superarsi, confezionando un titolo straordinario sotto ogni aspetto. Sebbene si tratti di un prologo a tutti gli effetti di quanto avverrà nel quarto episodio, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III poggia su un impianto narrativo solidissimo e coinvolgente, che non si limita a sfruttare il poderoso lavoro di world building compiuto da tutti i propri predecessori, ma addirittura riesce ad approfondirlo e a rimescolarlo con innegabile maestria. Non a caso, il prodotto ha confermato l’esistenza di un disegno più grande e che fino a questo momento avevamo potuto soltanto intravedere appena, attraverso sporadici accenni sapientemente nascosti nella corposa lore dei precedenti capitoli. Si tratta, in definitiva, di un titolo imprescindibile e strabiliante, il cui unico “difetto” è rappresentato da un scoglio iniziale altrettanto clamoroso e non alla portata di tutti.

Star Wars: Squadrons is an interesting take on the aerial shooter genre with a decent story and immersive VR. While it does have some flaws in terms of the multiplayer and story I feel as if the single player gameplay and the controls make up for it and can provide a fun experience.
