Oui, Genshin Impact “s'inspire” par-ci, “emprunte” des animations par là… Mais il est cependant impossible de le limiter à cela. Ce RPG Gatcha free-to-play (oui c'est long) est un amas d'influences et une somme de tout ce que les jeux mobiles chinois font bien. Il en résulte un titre qui ne sera pas au gout de tous, mais dont la proposition ludique et le modèle économique font sens pour une tranche non négligeable de joueurs. Pas exempt de défauts, mais très agréable à jouer quel que soit le support (malgré une version PS4 lésée), Genshin Impact impressionne autant qu'il interroge. Son succès est d'ores et déjà garanti, espérons simplement que le suivi soit de qualité et que son modèle économique ne révèle pas de mauvaises surprises au fil des mises à jour.

Occasionally obtuse and sporting a few UX/UI barnacles, Port Royale 4 could use a little more dry dock time before setting out on the high seas. AI trading bugs and occasionally unfair combat sequences discourage combat, which takes the wind out of the sails of this pirate adventure. Developer Gaming Minds can patch the hull, but they need to do so before people find another ship on which to set sail.

Port Royale 4 zal je vooral tijdens de eerste uren flink wat uitdaging bezorgen, maar eens je alles onder de knie hebt, wordt alles wel erg eenvoudig, tot vervelens toe. Ontwikkelaar Gaming Minds Studios heeft teveel handige opties tot automatisering toegevoegd. Hierdoor zul je op den duur nog maar weinig moeten inbrengen en voelt het alsof je gewoon naar een filmpje zit te kijken. Als je geen gebruik maakt van deze functies en alles zelf in handen neemt, dan komt dit spel al wat meer tot zijn recht. Al zul je wel een erg grote liefhebber van het genre moeten zijn om hier veel plezier uit te halen. Doordat er weinig op het spel staat en je nooit echt beloond wordt, is er weinig stimulans om door te spelen.

Solid and definitely have an audience. There could be some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.

All three of these games are representative of why Super Mario is such a great series. Though the ports for 64 and Sunshine have a few flaws, Galaxy feels absolutely perfect on the Switch.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is a lackluster collection of three (mostly) excellent, timeless games. Nintendo has shown us what it can do when the effort is put in with 2004's Super Mario 64 DS, so the lack of attention afforded here stings all the more.

Ich wünschte, Double Damage hätte die Texte an den kleinen Bildschirm angepasst, ein besseres technisches Feintuning betrieben und vom PC die Möglichkeit übernommen die etwas umständliche Steuerung den eigenen Vorlieben anzupassen. Abgesehen davon ist Rebel Galaxy Outlaw auf Nintendo Switch nämlich ein verblüffend eleganter Kompromiss aus Spielbarkeit und Weltraum-Action! Die große Redundanz der vielen vom Zufall erstellten Ballereien spürt man beim längeren Spielen natürlich auch in der Umsetzung, alles in allem passt der auf Kurzweil getrimmte Spielfluss aber hervorragend zum mobilen Einsatz, weshalb die Switch-Version die beste ist. Keine Angst: Wer auf PS4 und One ins All startet, schaut nicht ins Leere. Der Wegfall einer frei einstellbaren Steuerung stört zwar auch hier, doch rauscht man vom ständigen Verbessern des eigenen Schiffs angetrieben erst mal mit aufgedrehtem Radio durchs farbenfrohe All, dann genießt man auch die stationären Umsetzungen dieser Weltraum-Operette.
