Qualunque soulslike decida di mettersi in mostra deve fare inevitabilmente i conti con From Software ma Hellpoint difende bene la propria posizione. Privilegia l'esplorazione al combattimento, facendo di Irid Novo il suo fiore all'occhiello in termini di level design, ampiezza, quantità di segreti e scorciatoie per attraversarla: non si arriva a un punto sempre dalla stessa direzione, addirittura alcuni scenari potrebbero essere evitati se si sa dove guardare ma sono accortezze che si ottengono con l'esperienza. La rigiocabilità è garantita sia per il numero di finali sia perché difficilmente si può scoprire tutto in un'unica run e sotto questo aspetto Cradle Games ha dimostrato di saperci fare. La quantità di equipaggiamenti permette la sperimentazione di diverse build ma la difficoltà generale, tarata su un livello medio-basso, mitiga molto sia la profondità della personalizzazione sia il sistema di combattimento che girerà sempre o quasi attorno alla stessa tattica. I bug non sono d'aiuto ma nel complesso non possiamo dire che Hellpoint sia un brutto gioco, anzi: esplorare Irid Novo è una goduria, grazie anche alla maggiore libertà di spostamento, peccato solo che non si sia voluto osare di più sul resto.

The F1 games by Codemaster have been quite a roller-coaster ride, from the highs of the early 2010s to the dismal 2014-2015 games and now we come towards the turning point of the series. F1 2020 is one of the best simcade racers on the market as usual. But with some of the kinks from the past games still haunt the current edition. Hopefully, they could fix it by the time the next-gen hits the ground.

It’s no masterpiece, but in it’s particularly niche genre of GIANT CRAB BATTLE GAMES it shines as an example of a water-cooler idea turned into a silly smash-up of epic proportions. Explaining its concept to your mates may return a cocked head and a concerned expression – but get them at the helm of one of the crabs and they are extremely likely to have a good time. While Fight Crab may not earn a spot at EVO or garner its own esport league (a crime, really), it definitely fits into that ideal spot of being a great time with friends, and will likely generate tons of amazing Twitch streams and YouTube highlight videos.

Rock of Ages 3: Make and Break manages to provide some good, old school style arcade fun with it’s core game mechanics. Rolling the balls down the nicely designed tracks, smashing buildings and people along the way is great fun. It’s let down by some fiddly, tedious tower defence-style missions, and a creative suite that, while deep in options, only seems to serve as a gateway to online play.
