Somebody needs to put those sickos at League of Geeks on a watchlist. They boldly advertised that they would put your friendships on shaky ground, and indeed I’m not even sure if I can view my mates the same way after this. Solium Infernum is a king-making game on steroids, where only the meanest motherfuckers will thrive and anybody lacking cruel, cold planning in the face of the unholy conclave will become little more than a serf for the landlords of Hell to use and abuse. For 90% of my games, I have been that pathetic pawn. Played best with as close to five human associates as you can muster (and preferably no loved ones), I would summarise Solium Infernum as being as riotous as it is relentless. Unless you throw yourself headfirst into this community or bring a full entourage, the bots will leave you mystified as to why this game deserved a revival. Now I need a cold shower, a cigarette, and a cry. Bravo, this is perhaps the most memorable strategy game I’ve ever played.

It's hard to say whether Unicorn Overlord is objectively Vanillaware's best game, but for us, it's right up there, competing for the crown — and that's incredibly high praise. This is an immaculate and deeply engaging strategy RPG; the best example of the genre that we've played in years. For those who are looking to get lost in tactical thought, it's essential — and for everyone else, it still stands as an engrossing fantasy adventure. Vanillaware's done it again.

Expeditions: a MudRunner Game è un gioco davvero bello, naturalmente simile a SnowRunner e MudRunner eppure al tempo stesso diverso, più gentile, intrigante, caldo. Lo abbiamo provato su PC dove non abbiamo avuto nessun grosso problema e ci siamo lasciato totalmente assorbire dalla sua rinnovata veste grafica. Guidare sulle pareti rocciose, scalarle a forza di verricello, mappare preventivamente la zona col drone, usare il binocolo per scoprire nuovi segreti, è un'esperienza che non possiamo che consigliare a tutti. A patto che vi piaccia andare piano, procedere meticolosamente attraverso un terreno che può mettervi fuori gioco in qualsiasi momento. Expeditions: a MudRunner game è unico, in una serie già di suo inimitabile.

As much as I enjoyed nurturing my digital garden, I got a bit burned by the game’s Western European design. At present, there’s DLC that supplies recycled decorations such as fairy lights made from plastic bottles and tires that enjoy a second life as planters. But if you’re looking to duplicate the Hanami of Shinjuku Gyoen or Ueno Park or the horticultural allures of Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, you might have to look elsewhere for your botanical pleasures.

Indie developer Zu Ehtisham layers the references thickly, offering nods to Mega Man, Azure Striker Gunvolt, and even Sonic the Hedgehog. But despite the occasional feeling of familiarity, Berserk Boy’s frenzied action is distinctive and delightfully rhythmic. Anyone with an affinity for the 16-bit era should give the demo a go.

The Thaumaturge si presenta come un’esperienza particolare all’interno del vasto panorama dei giochi di ruolo, grazie alla sua trama coinvolgente ma sopratutto grazie a un’ambientazione suggestiva, incredibilmente ben realizzata al contrario del sistema di combattimento forse poco gratificante e stratificato. Nonostante qualche piccolo difetto, come la ripetitività degli scontri e le limitazioni nel doppiaggio inglese, il gioco offre una vasta gamma di quest interessanti e opzioni per i giocatori e le giocatrici desiderosi di esplorare il mondo intricato e misterioso della Varsavia del 1909. Con una colonna sonora coinvolgente e un’eccellente direzione artistica, The Thaumaturge si distingue per la sua capacità di immergere i giocatori e le giocatrici in un’avventura ricca di suspense, magia e intrighi, offrendo un’esperienza indimenticabile per gli/le amanti del genere. Se siete pronti a lanciarvi in un viaggio nel cuore dell’oscurità e dell’occulto, The Thaumaturge è sicuramente un titolo da tenere d’occhio.
