Un walking simulator sulla scia di Gone Home e Firewatch, con un hotel inquietante da esplorare e una storia drammatica che affronta temi difficili, almeno uno dei quali andava trattato però probabilmente in un modo diverso. Le poche ore che dura sono proporzionate al prezzo ridotto (al momento 16,99 euro su Steam e GOG).

It’s often rote to suggest people play a title while simultaneously not really telling them anything about it. Draugen falls into this camp, but I truly hope people give it a shot regardless. A wonderfully enchanting, yet melancholy adventure that will stick in the mind for quite some time after playing.

Even with its unfortunate dip in visual quality from time to time, that aside, a lot of the points held against Skookum Arts can be admittedly put down to personal aspirations not met, rather than some fundamental flaw the game is undeniably guilty of. An aspiration easily ignored for The Pedestrian is a charming-enough, but crucially, surprisingly-inventive puzzle entry for a concept and premise that, on paper, sounds far from inviting. But whether it’s the complimentary add-on of its voyage through the environment — and the way the game makes one’s trip a pleasant scurry from one city region to the next — or the ample ways the game adds-to, subtracts-from and so easily flips former rules/conventions on their head, The Pedestrian taps terrifically into the many joys, frustrations and epiphanies that this genre of video game is so good at carving out. Clever, confident and a fine debut for Skookum Arts, The Pedestrian has established a clear high bar — marking itself down as this year’s first must-play for puzzle enthusiasts far and wide.

Yakuza 5 Remastered completa la lunga saga di Kazuma Kiryu su PS4 con un capitolo che già in origine appariva particolarmente ambizioso, ricco di personaggi giocabili e ambientazioni, ma anche capace di introdurre attività diverse dal solito mantenendo intatta la straordinaria qualità di una narrazione piena di atmosfera e poderosi colpi di scena. Per qualità visiva, fluidità e velocità dei caricamenti non c'è dubbio che questa remaster rappresenti il modo migliore per sperimentare l'esperienza di Yakuza 5, ed è un peccato che la raccolta prodotta da SEGA sia stata proposta in modo così bizzarro.
