It doesn’t have the depth of standalone Persona and Fire Emblem games, but this is a fun crossover that will please followers of both, and Japanese role-playing fans in general.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE Encore is definitely the definitive version of the game - who needs the Wii U GamePad, anyway? JRPG fans and those who love idol culture will find a lot to love here, but this certainly won't convert anyone who hasn't liked JRPGs in the past, like Persona 5 and other games might. A great title to have in your Nintendo Switch library.

Avec son esthétique particulière, Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE ne pourra pas plaire à tout le monde, et ce n’est pas la version Switch qui changera cela. Néanmoins, cette dernière apporte des nouveautés sympathiques, que l’on aurait aimé être plus nombreuses, à un JRPG relativement agréable dans l’ensemble. L’ajout de la traduction française aidera sans doute à convaincre pas mal de monde de lui donner une chance, même s’il n’a pas l’étoffe des deux licences dont il s’inspire. En tant que portage, Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore est en tout cas satisfaisant, si bien que les petits défauts du titre original passeront ici bien mieux.

Se fossimo in ambito musicale, definirei Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore come il concerto di una band che amate e che avete già visto live una decina di volte. Parteciparvi è bello, divertente e vi farà sorridere, anche se l’emozione non sarà la stessa della prima volta. Il gioco è comunque invecchiato bene e vi regalerà decine di ore di gioco se siete appassionati del genere o se semplicemente volete avvicinarvi al mondo dei titoli Atlus. Peccato per le parti censurate e per la mancanza della localizzazione italiana (un problema frequente a cui Atlus sta piano piano lavorando, come nel caso di Persona 5 Royal), che rendono il gioco un po’ più antipatico rispettivamente ai puristi e ai meno avvezzi alla lingua inglese. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore rimane comunque l’esperienza più vicina ai JRPG della serie Shin Megami Tensei che potete trovare su Switch, e l’acquisto è sicuramente consigliato sia ai novizi che a chiunque voglia fare un secondo giro di giostra fra idol, pop star e stranezze giapponesi nella Tokyo di Atlus.

Red Bow has a lot of potential to be great, but it’s simply not. There are a lot of strange technical issues and downright poor creative decisions that make up for a dismal experience. While the story is effectively the only thing holding this title together, it’s not nearly enough to warrant a recommendation.

AO Tennis 2 is a greatly improved second instalment to the franchise. Trying to overshoot your hits is a satisfying experience. Career mode is the best part of the game, building your character to be a dominant force and trying to get that world number 1 ranking and winning all 4 Grand Slams. If you are a tennis fan, I would recommend buying this game as you’re unlikely to be disappointed. It’s a shame more big tennis players didn’t put their name into the hat, but with the brilliant editor and the ability to publish your creations this can be overlooked.

Pour ceux qui possèdent déjà la version Wii U, Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE Encore est loin d’être une nécessité tant il n’ajoute finalement que peu de choses. Cela dit, pour ceux qui n’ont pas encore poussé la chansonnette avec Itsuki et sa bande, tout en affrontant bon nombre de monstres et en devenant les plus grandes stars du Japon, cette version Nintendo Switch pourrait vous séduire si vous êtes en attente d’un nouveau J-RPG sur la console, surtout que nous avons enfin des textes français ainsi que des temps de chargement respectables, en plus de contenus rajoutés et d’autres petites améliorations sympathiques. Le portage est donc de qualité mais Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE Encore reste un jeu qui ne conviendra sans doute pas à la majorité tant il met en avant bon nombre de clichés japonais dans une ambiance particulière. Ambiance qui prime d’ailleurs sur la qualité du scénario : la J-pop, les idoles et autres joyeusetés du genre, on aime ou on déteste ! Ceux qui ne sont pas contre, en revanche, découvriront alors un jeu assez agréable à parcourir, bien qu’un peu classique.

Idea Factory may have skimped a bit on narrative, but the visuals far exceed anything I’ve seen in any visual novel, and even most games that fall outside the genre. If this your first foray into dating sims, while the narrative can go all over the place at times, you’ll be so lost in the visuals of the world, you won’t mind where it takes you.
