Finalement que penser de ce remake de Medievil ? Eh bien, en voulant être beaucoup trop fidèle au jeu d’origine, le soft développé par Other Ocean a en même temps conservé les défauts au jeu de 1999 entre les soucis de caméra, les nombreuses approximations de gameplay voire la progression un tantinet en dents de scie. Les développeurs auraient dû peut-être moderniser la formule sur énormément d’aspects pour rendre le soft plus agréable. Cela dit, le jeu est aussi joli artistiquement que techniquement avec ce background séduisant, comme les réinterprétations musicales. En somme, si vous êtes prêts à faire abstraction des nombreux défauts, alors vous pouvez vous laisser tenter par ce remake honorable. En plus, il n’est pas si cher et doté d’une durée de vie honnête, surtout quand on voit la durée de vie de certains jeux à 70 €.

If you already own Overwatch on another platform, I would recommend sticking with it. If you only have a Nintendo Switch or a PC that isn’t great for gaming and you want to try Overwatch out, the Switch version is perfectly serviceable. It hasn’t got all the bells and whistles in graphical appearance or performance, but it works. For me, the gyro controls weren’t large enough drawcards for me to feel that the Switch version is different enough to be a “must play” for existing fans playing on other platforms. It’s Overwatch. Sometimes it’s fun, sometimes there’s toxicity, but as a game, it works. Good enough.

Il tanto desiderato cambiamento che i fan chiedevano allo sparatutto di Activision ha impiegato un po’ di tempo per essere attuato, ma ne è valsa decisamente la pena. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare osa e vince, e lo fa aggiudicandosi lo scettro del miglior capitolo della serie in questa generazione e in generale si pone come uno degli sparatutto più divertenti e curati degli ultimi anni. Infinity Ward è riuscita a plasmare un FPS che rappresenta un ritorno alle origini ma sotto una luce diversa, rinnovata, soprattutto nella veste grafica e in termini di gameplay. Le novità come le modalità inedite, che proiettano la serie in territori mai esplorati prima, un’ottima campagna single player e un gunplay più orientato al realismo, rappresentano i punti di forza di un soft reboot che non lesina né sui contenuti né sulla loro qualità. Tuttavia qualche difetto è comunque presente e vanifica in parte lo straordinario lavoro di Infinity Ward, come la longevità risicata della campagna, qualche mappa multiplayer sottotono e una struttura delle Operazioni Speciali che mal si sposa con la filosofia della serie. Se negli ultimi anni avete snobbato la serie per via di una certa ripetitività di fondo, allora Call of Duty: Modern Warfare è quella ventata d’aria fresca che stavate aspettando.
