Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is simple and charming, but beneath the rather basic gameplay loop hides some surprisingly deep secrets. It brings back elements of farming games past, including marriage rivals and transient characters, while providing some major quality of life updates as well as a more freedom, such as limited character customization and a truly bizarre variety of farmyard pets. It’s a cozy, welcoming little village, sure to charm any farming fan.

The Alliance Alive HD Remastered è un JRPG piacevolissimo che avrebbe meritato un budget decisamente superiore: in quel modo avremmo avuto il doppiaggio, quantomeno in lingua giapponese, ad accompagnare le cinematiche, e magari un po' più di cura per quanto riguarda il sistema di combattimento che, pur essendo intrigante e stratificato, si esprime soprattutto quando il gioco si fa veramente duro. È un peccato che il titolo Cattle Call sia stato poco pubblicizzato: le uscite del mese finiranno per cannibalizzarlo, e quindi fatevi un favore e ricordatevi di lui quando avrete bisogno di un piccolo, grande JRPG che vi rammenti come vi siete innamorati di questo genere.

Felix the Reaper is an excellent game on paper, but its execution dooms it. While the unique concept shines—and I doubt I’ll be forgetting such a lovable face of death anytime soon—the actual gameplay made it a bit of a slog.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes si conferma anche su PS4 un affascinante esercizio di stile, che mette insieme in modo talvolta caotico e disordinato concept interessanti seppure un po' datati, unendoli grazie al collante rappresentato da un gameplay hack & slash solidissimo e appagante, le cui meccaniche vengono irrobustite dalla componente strategica delle abilità speciali. Giocare da soli o insieme a un amico (purtroppo solo in locale), sfruttando in questo caso quattro diversi personaggi con le rispettive capacità sbloccabili, si rivela un'esperienza piacevole e divertente, al netto di qualche momento di eccessiva lentezza e di una cornice tecnica modesta, in particolare per quanto concerne la realizzazione delle ambientazioni.

While it may not add anything to make it worth double dipping outside of some previous additional content, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition gains the element of portability on the Nintendo Switch that makes the game more accessible than ever to play as you aim to collect the more than 300 available Digimon and save the real and digital worlds.
