Monkey King: Hero is Back no está mal para pasar un rato entretenido frente a la pantalla y disfrutar de una historia basada en el popular personaje de la novela Viaje al Oeste, cumple para ser un título de acción, pero lo hace lamentablemente con movimientos algo lentos que empañan el resultado final. Gracias a tener que conseguir puntos para poder mejorar los diferentes poderes del personaje, el juego se prolonga algo más al ir a buscar el combate para poder conseguir los mencionados puntos mientras tenemos que tener 1000 ojos puestos en la pantalla para localizar los diferentes objetos y secretos ocultos por un mapeado que abusa en exceso de los caminos.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is a welcome return for the franchise. It’s arguably the best entry to date thanks to creative level design, gorgeous landscapes and excellent multiplayer. It may not be a new take on the formula like some expected, but considering the last time Frozenbyte tried that, perhaps this is for the best.

Conclusioni Tra le tantissime edizioni rimasterizzate che sono uscite durante questa generazione videoludica, purtroppo il gioco dei Ghostbusters si annovera tra quelle meno interessanti. Al di là del titolo, che è molto divertente da giocare e replica alla perfezione tutte le musiche, le battute, le ambientazioni, insomma tutto lo spirito anni ’80 della pellicola, la qualità dei miglioramenti apportati è davvero minima, quasi impalpabile. Un peccato, lo ribadiamo, in quanto Ghostbusters: The Video Game funziona alla grande e fa parte della ristretta schiera di produzioni che sono allo stesso livello dei film a cui si ispirano. I veri problemi sono l’inconsistenza della rimasterizzazione e l’inspiegabile eliminazione di alcune feature dal gioco originale. Se non avete giocato Ghostbusters nel 2009, questa è un’ottima occasione per immergervi in questa entusiasmante avventura (considerato anche il prezzo budget a cui viene venduto), altrimenti potete ahimè passare tranquillamente oltre.

Little Town Hero boasts a unique, strategic battle system that draws heavily on card game mechanics. Despite the fact that the story and art design seems to be aimed at a younger audience, combat is far too slow, strategic, and challenging to keep the attention of most kids. It’s an interesting combination of traditional RPG storytelling with Heartstone-like mechanics and difficulty that’s sure to captivate some, but will likely miss the mark for most.

Sur le papier, Monkey King: Hero is Back avait tout pour plaire : un univers drôle, épique et onirique, des personnages pouvant autant plaire aux enfants qu’aux adultes, des combats et de l’exploration prenant pour source les légendes chinoises… Hélas, un tas de défauts viennent grandement gâcher le plaisir. Bien qu’il ne soit pas totalement à jeter, pouvant même offrir quelques sourires et moments de plaisir sincère, il y a beaucoup trop de choses qui semblent provenir d’un autre temps, pas en bon qui plus est. On comprend mieux pourquoi Sony a évité de promouvoir davantage le titre chez nous, au point de refiler l’édition à un autre. À moins de vraiment aimer le film d’origine ou d’avoir un faible pour les jeux cartoon, nous ne vous conseillons pas ce Monkey King: Hero is Back, tant il y a de nombreux jeux meilleurs dans son genre.

These are one of those times when games are simply made to capitalize on the license of an intellectual property. Though there is a lot of potential in the story for the gameplay and mechanics to flesh out, it never does. There are moments when you believe there’s something special to experience, but then you’re constantly loading into areas, slowed to a snail’s pace, and burdened with unnecessary banter.
