The Switch port of The Witcher 3: Complete Edition certainly isn’t how I’d recommend you experience CD Projekt Red’s epic fantasy masterpiece for the first time, but it’s serviceable if you’re unable to play on PC or a more powerful console — or prefer to do your monster hunting away from a TV. On a full-size screen, however, it suffers to the point where it looks more reminiscent of the 360 generation than the current one.

Conclusioni The Witcher III: Complete Edition su Nintendo Switch è esattamente quello che ci si aspetta da CD Projekt RED e Saber Interactive: un porting che ha del sovrannaturale, un adattamento che è riuscito a rimpicciolire un gioco titanico in 32 GB e che non ha perso quasi nulla del suo smalto originale. Certo, i compromessi ci sono e sono anche evidenti: la risoluzione più bassa e qualche calo di frame-rate sono il prezzo da pagare per avere uno dei giochi di ruolo più apprezzati sempre sulla console portatile di Nintendo. Pop-up e piccoli difetti a parte, i contenuti proposti da questo pacchetto sono moltissimi: oltre al gioco principale, questa edizione porta con sé le due espansioni che offrono fino a 200 ore di gioco solo per completare la campagna principale e le quest secondarie. Insomma, se avete una Switch e non avete mai giocato a The Witcher III è tempo di affilare la spada d’argento e bere del Sangue Nero, perché la caccia sta per cominciare.

No matter the platform, Overwatch is still Overwatch. Everything from every other version of the game is here, warts and all. Gyro aiming and portable play, while nice, don’t offer enough of a reason to choose this version over another if you already own the game on a different platform. But if it’s your first time or just want to play on Switch, go for it; this is a fine port.
