S’il ne sera jamais l’égal des pointures de la PlayStation 4, du côté des exclusivités, Concrete Genie s’avance avec des arguments certains pour piquer la curiosité du joueur. Peint avec une bonne dose d’insouciance, le jeu s’apparente à une expérience gentillette portée par une direction artistique étonnante.  Concrete Genie est surtout une appréciable bouffée d’air frais alors que la PlayStation 4 s’apprête à prendre son ultime virage, non sans quelques poids lourds à faire valoir (The Last of Us Part II en tête). Bref, Concrete Genie est un jeu qui fait du bien aux têtes et soulage les pouces en attendant de s’y remettre plus sérieusement.

Dopo cinque anni dall’uscita di Autosport, la serie Codemasters torna alla ribalta con un capitolo non particolarmente innovativo ma estremamente godibile e divertente. Forte di un modello di guida spiccatamente arcade, propone una formula adatta tanto al giocatore occasionale quanto al più accanito fan del motorsport e delle produzioni videoludiche ad esso correlate, e rappresenta un ottimo punto di incontro tra complessità e accessibilità. Sebbene la sensazioni di guida cambino moltissimo tra una vettura e l’altra, tutte sembrano avere in comune un fastidioso senso di leggerezza eccessiva che continua a non convincerci pienamente; un problema che in un titolo leggermente più orientato alla simulazione avrebbe probabilmente compromesso la godibilità del prodotto, ma che in questo caso non sembra scalfire in maniera così evidente un pacchetto che, nel complesso, funziona piuttosto bene. Un’ultima nota di merito va inoltre alla solidità e alla stabilità del codice, che durante la nostra prova non ha mai lasciato intravedere alcuna imperfezione, né tanto meno cali di framerate. Pur non facendo gridare al miracolo, GRID appare sufficientemente solido (almeno su PS4 Pro) anche dal punto di vista tecnico.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is a sequel that plays it very safe – which, in this particular case, is for the better. Coming back to the traditional style of co-op gameplay and puzzle solving that made the first two games so delightful is exactly the kind of refocusing that the Trine series needed after the misfire of Trine 3. Some lackluster puzzle designs, technical issues, and a lack of difficulty stand in the way of it overtaking Trine 2 as the best of the series, but Trine 4 still remains a shining example of how cooperative gaming should be, and is one of the most gorgeous looking 2.5D games of 2019.
