Earth Defense Force 6 is yet another riotous entry in one of the most ridiculous and corny series ever to make very poor use of our fancy gaming hardware. It looks at least a decade out of date, is absolutely dripping with plot holes and awful voice acting, and has some of the silliest combat I’ve seen in a long time – but all of that only works to its credit, coming together as a game I’ve happily lost dozens of hours of my life to while giggling like an idiot. Not all of its rough edges add to its charm, though, and an overly long campaign filled with repetitive levels and some irritating design choices definitely work against it. But those things are pretty easy to forgive when you accidentally blow your friends up with a rocket launcher that sends giant ants sailing into the air and skyscrapers crumbling into rubble.

F1 Manger 2024 è finalmente riuscito a inserire la tanto amata carriera personalizzata. Questo alza l'asticella della competizione e ci presenta un gioco con solide basi, ma in grado anche di rinnovarsi. Un titolo divertente, competitivo che ci mette alla prova in molte differenti situazioni. Nel complesso, quindi, anche quest'anno un manageriale di tutto rispetto.

F1 Manager è un brand che si muove a passi ragionati. Dopo aver gettato le basi nel 2022 con il capitolo d'esordio, sembra che Frontier voglia continuare a lavorare proprio sulle fondamenta, senza apportare veri e propri cambiamenti alla formula, ma aggiungendo un pezzo per volta, percorrendo un lento piano di sviluppo. A nostro parere un po' di coraggio in più non avrebbe guastato, ma intendiamoci: la grafica è stata migliorata, la modalità "Crea una squadra" era stata chiesta a gran voce dai fan, ci sono diverse limature dell'esperienza di gioco e tutto questo farà la gioia di chi ha passato decine di ore su F1 Manager 2023.

F1 Manager 24 ofrece una experiencia profunda y rica en detalles en la gestión de todos los aspectos de un equipo de este deporte. Con los cambios que se han añadido en esta versión, se ha ido un paso más allá para ofrecer un experiencia que, con algunos defectos, roza el sobresaliente.

6.5 The Star Named EOS, première production de Silver Lining, est vraiment sympa. Avec une histoire aussi touchante que tragique, mais aussi une direction artistique qui arrive à nous accrocher instantanément, le titre réussit son coup. Même le gameplay qui est d’une simplicité enfantine, nous captive avec des énigmes bien ficelées, intelligentes et parfois terriblement malines. Cela dit, on tourne parfois un peu en rond, les énigmes sont inégales, et pas mal d’éléments de gameplay et de narration ont été trop tronqués pour apprécier pleinement le titre qui a pourtant un potentiel fou. On ruminera sur ces détails sans lesquels The Star Named EOS aurait pu devenir un jeu inoubliable. Hélas, il se résumera à un titre assez court qui n’a pas suffisamment exploité ses bonnes idées.

With its metroidvania-style backtracking and shootouts that hinge on careful timing, Exophobia isn’t your typical boomer shooter. It’s engaging and thoroughly challenging if you decide to take on the game’s alien lobsters on the game’s default difficulty.

Un bel étendard au rétrogaming d'hommage qu'est cet Exophobia. Sans aucune volonté de moderniser le concept, le jeu de tir s'appuie totalement sur la jouabilité d'une époque où les FPS s'appelaient Doom-like, et à l'esthétique 16 bits. Mêlant fast-FPS et Metroidvania, le cocktail fonctionne très agréablement pour le plus grand plaisir des joueurs de la première heure. Les heures parcourues à explorer ce vaisseau écrasé et à comprendre comment vaincre tel ennemi ou trouver un nouveau passage sont une bonne réussite.

Exophobia é uma experiência curta, mas concentrada e consciente. A complexidade dá lugar a uma ação simples e intensa, onde a exploração é o prato principal, com muitos segredos para descobrir, sem descurar os momentos de tiroteio. Tudo isto é pautado por uma banda sonora fenomenal, que leva Exophobia muito além dos preceitos de um típico Boomer Shooter.

Nobody Wants to Die è un'avventura a base narrativa caratterizzata da un'affascinante ambientazione cyberpunk, che attinge a piene mani da alcune opere piuttosto celebri (Blade Runner, Altered Carbon e un pizzico di Ghost in the Shell) per raccontare una storia interessante e coinvolgente, costruita interamente sui due protagonisti. È vero: il gameplay si limita all'analisi delle scene del crimine e gli sviluppatori non hanno osato sconfinare, infarcendo anzi le meccaniche investigative di suggerimenti contestuali che rendono l'esperienza parecchio guidata, ma non per questo meno piacevole.
