Loin d’être un mauvais jeu, Rune Factory 3 Special accuse malgré tout d’un âge certain, avec ses nombreuses limitations et son aspect visuel perfectible, mais aussi un cruel manque de nouveautés. Si la refonte sautera aux yeux des fans, les autres auront sûrement du mal à passer au-dessus de son austérité, mais aussi de la quantité notable d’écueils. C’est dommage, car quelques petits ajouts, ou modifications pertinentes dans le gameplay, auraient pu permettre à cet opus méconnu de s’offrir une plus grande visibilité. Mais on sent malheureusement que, malgré sa qualité encore indéniable, il risque fort de ne parler qu’aux fans de la première heure, et surtout de déplaire à tous ceux qui n’ont pas connu les épisodes DS.

Chants of Sennaar è una produzione originale e piena di ottime idee, artisticamente validissima e solida nel suo gameplay. Al netto di alcune sezioni forse eccessivamente criptiche e di un senso di spaesamento talvolta molto forte, specialmente quando ci si è un po' allontanati dalla base della Torre, Rundisc ha creato un'opera dai tratti fortemente distintivi e ben caratterizzati, con un importante messaggio di fondo: l'edificio del linguaggio è eretto sulle mutevoli fondamenta dell'umano e accedere alle sue profondità e ai suoi misteri è essenziale per raccontare storie, scoprire verità, ma anche manipolare e sopraffare i membri delle nostre comunità. Questa ambiguità di fondo è il cuore pulsante di Chants of Sennaar.

Starfield is a grand interstellar adventure with exciting pockets of exploration, detailed cities, interesting side quests, memorable characters, competent action, and fun ship building. Despite minor issues, it gracefully blends Bethesda’s trademark gameplay with the wonders of space.

On prend Chants of Sennaar pour ce qu'il nous propose : une aventure linguistique rafraichissante parfaitement en phase avec sa période de sortie. Ce court jeu plaira aux amateurs de casse-têtes et aux amoureux des langues, même inventées. Son univers coloré et enchanteur finit de nous convaincre qu'il s'agit d'une merveille réécriture du mythe de Babel.

La répétitivité n'est pas réellement un frein au plaisir pris par le joueur dans Chants of Sennaar. D'un étage à l'autre, on découvre suffisamment de légères variations pour occuper l'esprit et titiller la curiosité, et tout cela est maintenu par la cohésion de l'univers présenté. Faites simplement confiance à la logique, qui imprègne totalement le game design pour contrer ce qui pourrait sembler subjectif, comme l'interprétation d'un symbole. On est heureux d'être stimulé intellectuellement et ravi d'aider ces peuples à éviter un catastrophe, même si clairement on ne comprend pas très bien comment et pourquoi cette société est partie en vrille. Si vraiment on se pose pour réfléchir à la morale de l'histoire, c'est apparemment encore la faute des gamers. Ironique pour un jeu vidéo.

Chants of Sennaar is as defined by its peaks as its valleys. For every moment of mind-blowing, brilliant puzzle design comes an inversely frustrating moment stymied by '90s adventure game logic. The game's ability to teach a player aspects of a language is awe-inspiring, and its way of guiding players along with as little information as possible is intensely rewarding—when it works. Even though it isn't for everyone (or consistently excellent), it's constantly impressive. Chants of Sennaar est une très belle pioche de cette rentrée vidéoludique. Les bonnes intentions émises par son concept et son propos sont concrétisées sur tous les plans. Visuellement, musicalement, et manette en main, l’expédition de la tour de Babel, ainsi que la découverte de ses peuples et de ses langages, s’effectuent avec grand plaisir et avec assez peu de fausses notes. Certes, l’infiltration ne fait pas partie des points forts du titre, et un concept davantage poussé aurait sans doute permis au jeu de se hisser un peu plus haut encore. Mais pour cette dizaine d’heures véritablement dépaysante et rafraîchissante, chapeau bas à l’équipe toulousaine de Rundisc.

I will say that over the decades I have been gaming, several games have tested me, but I’ve always risen to the challenge; I almost put a hole through my TV before beating Isshin the Sword Saint, I bested Portal 2’s co-op mode one-guy-two-controllers-style (little known fact), and I still sometimes wake up in a cold sweat from nightmares of King Dice in the original Cuphead. The only reason I persisted with Enchanted Portals is out of pride for my gaming credentials, but I urge you to not pick up this cursed gauntlet. Regardless of skill, Enchanted Portals is extremely likely to break you, because unlike the title it blatantly apes, the tools you have to beat your foes feel uninspired and inadequate. The challenge can certainly be surmounted with enough trial, error and extreme levels of patience, but it’s also just as honourable to walk away, and definitely a lot more fun.

Enchanted Portals Enchanted Portals è un titolo che non raggiunge la sufficienza perché, semplicemente, non è divertente da giocare. Ci dispiace essere così lapidari, soprattutto perché il titolo è stato sviluppato da due sole persone, però nelle nostra prova di dieci ore ci siamo divertiti genuinamente per un decimo del tempo giocato. E questo, purtroppo, è più indicativo di tutte le analisi e le considerazioni che possiamo fare. PRO Le boss fight sono strutturate abbastanza bene | La mera presentazione audio-visiva è accettabile | CONTRO Impianto ludico totalmente da rivedere | Pessimo sistema di feedback | I livelli run'n'gun sono estenuanti, frustranti in maniera artificiosa |

There’s limited freedom to roam in Killer Frequency, and not much to being a DJ, but the variety of gameplay kept me entertained and being an interim 911 operator sure is exciting, whether I played the hero or villain. Lives are very much at stake, but the great part is, you don’t need any action game experience to succeed. This is a more passive survival horror experience perfect for those who don’t like blood and gore, where all it takes is your brain and the ability to see solutions in all the clues provided. Every caller brings new elements that pose a challenge, but without being overly difficult. And even though you don’t see – or perhaps because you can’t see – what’s happening to the people in your care, there’s still a great buildup of tension. And it’s equally fun no matter which mindset you choose: being the grand savior is very rewarding and satisfying, but intentionally screwing up is just too tempting not to give it a go. I highly recommend it even to those who can’t bear to watch a horror movie – it’s perfect for a home-alone, late-night gaming session with the lights off and a bowl of popcorn at hand.

Baldur’s Gate 3 sur PlayStation 5 n’a rien à envier à Baldur’s Gate 3 sur PC. Larian Studios n’a pas sacrifié son RPG pour le faire tourner sur la console de Sony. Ce jeu de rôle conserve l’intégralité du contenu de la version PC (même la coopération en local via écran partagé) et propose une expérience optimale manette en mains. Les quelques défauts de BG3 sont encore présents (notamment l’interface “pad”), mais pour le reste, c’est un sans faute.

PS5 recibe un soberbio port de Baldur's Gate 3, en el que no se ha sacrificado nada de contenido y los recortes técnicos son inapreciables, salvo si lo has jugado antes en un PC de gama alta. Eso sí, la queja es que solo se puede jugar con el mando:, el manejo con ratón y el teclado se ha eliminado en PS5, a diferencia de los ports de otros juegos.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is a decent culmination of the series. The game offers plenty of mind-bending puzzles and still respects its platforming roots. While the combat still feels somewhat clunky, the game's visuals and puzzle difficulty more than makeup for it. The game is much more enjoyable with friends as they can solve puzzles more inventively.

Mediterranea Inferno offre una miscela efficace di storia, direzione artistica e caratterizzazione dei personaggi, affiancata da un comparto sonoro pregevole. Questa visual novel - a dir poco essenziale sul fronte ludico - è in grado di raccontare le vicende appassionanti di tre amici, in cui è difficile non immedesimarsi. Anche per tale ragione, superare il termine della prima run e dedicarsi alla scoperta dei vari finali di questo viaggio ci è parsa una scelta naturale, a riprova del talento dimostrato dagli addetti ai lavori.
