Abgesehen von seinem gerade technischen unfertigen Zustand auf der PS5 ist Park Beyond eine launige und vor allem hübsche Park-Simulation. Mit einem äußerst coolen Achterbahn-Feature, das aber kaum Einfluss auf den Aufbau-Aspekt hat. Zusätzliche Mühe wird hier nicht zusätzlich belohnt. Die Kampagne hat ein paar nette Kniffe und Herausforderungen, der Sandkasten-Modus bietet mit 27 Maps viel Freiraum zur Gestaltung. Nicht optionale Nebenquests sind trotzdem ein Unding. Die Tycoon-Tiefe und der Langzeitspielspaß können genauso in Frage gestellt werden.

Amnesia: The Bunker è un’esperienza terrificante come poche altre. Rende costantemente omaggio all’eredità della serie di Frictional Games con momenti di altissima tensione e la capacità di immergere il giocatore in un mondo con cui è sempre possibile interagire in modi diversi. Pecca troppo nel comparto tecnico e grafico, che purtroppo lo fanno apparire datato al lancio.

Layers of Fear serves up a series of atmospheric and often surreal trips through the shattered psyches of some seriously tortured artists. It’s made all the more eye-catching thanks to Unreal Engine 5, and the addition of the flashlight provides some interesting new ways to both interact with your surroundings and mitigate the frustration of the stalker encounters previously suffered in the original games. However, its sleight of hand scare tactics are still all too clearly telegraphed and this predictable formula grew stale long before I reached the end of each of its main story threads. Ultimately Layers of Fear comes across as a largely scare-free 13-hour crawl through a string of mildly creepy hallways as opposed to a truly terrifying trek into darkness.

Layers of Fear (2023) does a good job of leaving the core of the original and sequel intact but with major graphical issues and a bland additional story doesn't quite reach the new elevated status it was hoping for. The games on their own still hold up relatively well. (Review Policy)

Mit „Layers of Fear“ ist Serienschöpfer Bloober Team und den Anshar Studios ein durchaus stimmiges Gesamtpaket gelungen. Mit Teil 1 und 2, sämtlichen DLCs und sogar neuen Geschichten bietet die Mischung aus Spielesammlung, Remaster und Remake genügend Umfang, um Freunde narrativer (Action-) Adventures im Horrorgenre rund zehn Stunden lang solide zu unterhalten. Schade nur, dass der spielerische Inhalt der surrealen Reisen in die Psyche der Protagonistinnen und Protagonisten nach wie vor recht dünn ausfällt. Neben simplen Schlüsselrätseln wirken auch die neuen Laternenmechaniken auf der Flucht etwas aufgesetzt, statt wirklich zu fordern. Trotz solcher Schwächen und einiger monotoner Phasen besitzt die Reise durch wild wechselnde, bizarr inszenierte Schauplätze aber ihren Reiz. In der getesteten PS5-Version profitiert sie vor allem von der gründlich überarbeiteten Inszenierung inklusive Raytracing und hübscher Lumen-Beleuchtung aus der Unreal Engine 5. Nach und nach enthüllen Fundstücke und Symbolik immer mehr spannende Details um den gescheiterten Maler und weitere Tragödien.

Dordogne è un’avventura narrativa che cerca di supplire ad una serie di limitazioni investendo tutto su una direzione artistica eccezionale e su magnifici disegni ad acquerello. Racconta una storia personale, ambientata tra presente e passato: parla di lutto, recupero della memoria e di emozioni legate alla propria infanzia, e lo fa con toni delicati e piacevoli, impiegando un numero di ore contenuto (cinque al massimo). Dal punto di vista ludico però non è esente da difetti: i controlli sono un po’ legnosi, gli ambienti esplorabili molto contenuti, i minigiochi perfettamente dimenticabili, l’utilizzo dei collezionabili non eccellente. Certo, sono aspetti che si perdonano in qualche modo nell’economia di una narrazione generale comunque efficace e incisiva, ma ci saremmo aspettati qualcosa di più – perché siamo convinti che Dordogne avesse tutte le potenzialità per raggiungere risultati molto, molto più convincenti. Resta un’esperienza consigliata, magari soprattutto al primo sconto.

The Outlast Trials tente le genre de l’Espace Game orienté multijoueur et il le fait avec brio. Chaque épreuve possède son identité propre, le tout dans un enrobage des années 60 du plus bel effet. Le bestiaire n’est pas en reste avec une brochette de psychopathes réussite même s’il on peut regretter un manque de diversité, plusieurs protagonistes étant réutilisés à foison d’une map à l’autre. Nous aurions pu aussi espérer un contenu un poil plus étoffé pour cette mise en service du titre en accès anticipé ainsi qu’une roadmap détaillant le contenu à venir et sur quel laps de temps. En l’état, The Outlast Trials est un peu maigre. Cependant, et malgré la répétitivité des activités proposées, The Outlast Trials peut vous tenir en haleine facilement entre 25 et 30 heures si vous souhaitez débloquer l’intégralité des bonus, cosmétiques et la meilleure note dans chacune des épreuves. Reste à voir ce que le studio canadien nous réserve tout au long de l’accès anticipé, la formule instaurée par The Outlast Trials étant déjà prometteuse pour du contenu sur le long terme.
