Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is an utterly addictive, perfectly tuned celebration of all things Final Fantasy. It’s a deceptively simple-looking game that, once you get under the hood, you’ll discover it has teeth and demands practice and patience if you want to unlock everything. It gives back what you put into it, and we’re struggling to put it down even now. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the series’ 35th anniversary, and this makes it a must-buy for Final Fantasy fans and rhythm game enthusiasts. How other storied, sprawling game series’ haven’t followed suit with their own rhythm games is baffling when the results can be this magical.

Oui, Theatrhythm Final Bar Line est un jeu de niche. Il s’agit d’un jeu musical centré sur les compositions de la licence Final Fantasy ; la cible d’acheteurs est donc très précise. Mais, lorsqu’on parle des fans de Final Fantasy, cela fait déjà un bon paquet de portes-monnaies. Toutefois, ces fans « hardcore » seront-ils comblés ? Oui. Avec une liste gargantuesque de titres, une pléthore de collectibles et des personnages à faire évoluer, ce nouvel opus aura de quoi vous occuper pour de (très) nombreuses heures. Si l’on regrettera encore que certains titres ne soient que de simples extraits d’une mélodie plus longue, ainsi qu'un season pass bien trop important pour être mis de côté - augmentant par conséquent le prix « véritable » du titre -, force est de constater que la formule est ultra efficace si, et seulement si, vous êtes fan de Square Enix.

Hogwarts Legacy : L’Héritage de Poudlard ne loupe pas le coche et devrait donc combler de bonheur les fans de l’univers d’Harry Potter. La reproduction des lieux est incroyable, tout comme l’ambiance qui se dégage du jeu. Les nouveaux protagonistes sont réussis et l’histoire aussi intrigante que palpitante. Le gameplay quant à lui n’est pas en reste puisque l’expérience proposée par Avalanche est aussi réussie que classique. Classique, c’est aussi et surtout le reproche que l’on peut faire à ce jeu qui offre une expérience de qualité qui ne révolutionne pas le genre. Une expérience qui dépendra de votre sensibilité à l’univers dépeint par J.K. Rowling car pour peu que la magie vous laisse indifférent, il se pourrait qu’en dépit de ses indéniables qualités, elle n’opère pas sur vous.

It is such a pleasure to get a story experience such as A Space For The Unbound, with how welcoming its world is, with all of its intrigue and suspense that delivers well on the hype. And being a small team working on it like Toge Production is, they deserve all the plaudits. Get this game now, at full price, and you won’t be disappointed at all.

In nearly every way, Hogwarts Legacy is the Harry Potter RPG I’ve always wanted to play. Its open-world adventure captures all the excitement and wonder of the Wizarding World with its memorable new characters, challenging and nuanced combat, and a wonderfully executed Hogwarts student fantasy that kept me glued to my controller for dozens of hours. It’s certainly weighed down by technical issues, a lackluster main story, and some poor enemy variety, but even those couldn’t come close to breaking its enchanting spell over me.

Se dovessimo giudicare Hogwarts Legacy solo dall’atmosfera che veicola, non potremmo che dargli un 10 pieno, dato che se siete fan della saga adorerete anche solo girovagare per il castello o indugiare in qualche attività secondaria. Naturalmente siamo qui per giudicare il titolo Avalanche nella sua interezza, cosa che ci fa essere più realisti su molte cose, per quanto è impossibile non tributare i giusti onori agli sforzi del team realizzativo, che ha dimostrato intraprendenza, senso pratico, grande rispetto per i fan e per il materiale originale, perizia nel rinnovarlo e nell’integrarlo con elementi inediti e la capacità di presentare un unicum il cui difetto principale sta nel non poter essere “tutto” quel che ci si potrebbe aspettare. “Non c’è il Quidditch”, “Le meccaniche di alchimia, crafting erbologia sono troppo semplicistiche”, “Non ci sono le romance” e tanto altro gli verrà additato, ma al contempo sono presenti tantissime altre feature che non ci aspettavamo, tra cui la possibilità di utilizzare Maledizioni senza perdono in una maniera sensata e coerente.
