Zenonia 2 may not advance the ball, but the first Zenonia was an excellent game – one of the iPhone’s best – and so by changing very little, Gamevil still offers a pretty awesome adventure. The interface enhancements are uniformly welcome, such as the ability to tap through menus or create hot keys. The quest is enormous and offers dozens of hours of play. So, even if the second verse is largely the same as the first, Zenonia 2 remains a song worth listening to again.

Let’s face it, though. If you’re currently playing EQ2, then chances are you’re already up to your waist in Sentinel’s Fate and loving it. It’s an expansion in the most accurate sense of the word – it expands everything that EQ2 already had, but doesn’t really add anything different. If you’re a new player looking to start, Sentinel’s Fate – like the expansion before it – comes with the original game and all prior expansions included, so it’s extremely good value. If you’re looking to come back to EQ2 after a hiatus, you simply need to ask yourself if you want more of the same. For my money, Sentinel’s Fate brings a good amount of content, but doesn’t do enough to truly excite.

Reviewing a poor submarine sim is tough because there are just too few opportunities for comparison. It's like living in a town with only one pizza place. Even if it's not very good, you'll still go every once in a while if you happen to be in the mood for pizza. You have to accept that if you want a new submarine game, you'll just have to make the best of it. In terms of positive features, this one looks stunning and really delivers those intense wolfpack hunt moments. Taking out a pair of destroyer escorts and then picking off the unprotected convoy is an amazing experience, but you're constantly distracted by the bugs and poor design decisions. We hope that with another few months the community will iron out the worst of these.

Si l'on pouvait émettre quelques réserves à vous conseiller le premier Zenonia, nos doutes sont entièrement dissipés au vu de l'efficacité de cette suite. Non content de remédier aux lacunes de son aîné, Zenonia 2 en exploite enfin tout le potentiel pour nous offrir une expérience de jeu plaisante de bout en bout et renouvelée par la possibilité d'incarner quatre héros radicalement distincts.

Long time fans of the genre looking to get their fix on the console(s) will find what they need here. Unfortunately, they are also going to find the things that hinder the genre on anything other than a PC. As I said, there is something here to be enjoyed, you just have to put up with and / or overlook some things in order to get there. Tropico 3 is a faithful port of the original PC game but is just out of its own element. It feels like you are playing the game through an emulator; the main game is there, but it does not feel like it belongs thanks to the control interface and graphical hiccups. True enjoyment of the game should be had with its original PC brethren, not a broken console representation.

D'accord, Pokémon SoulSilver et Heartgold ne sont jamais que des remakes de titres sortis il y a près de 10 ans. Mais quels remakes ! Entre les graphismes actualisés, l'interface remaniée, les fonctionnalités online et la tonne de nouveautés présentes dans la cartouche, les fans de la série ne sauront plus où donner de la tête. Que l'on connaisse par coeur les versions d'origines ou qu'on les découvre pour la première fois ici, il est clair qu'on n'est pas près de décrocher de sa DS... Sauf pour recharger le Pokéwalker, bien entendu !

Red Steel 2 fa sicuramente molto meglio del suo predecessore. Per quanto non sembri che il titolo abbia poi così tanto giovato dall’up-grade rappresentato dal Motion Plus, siamo di fronte a un ottimo gioco. Manca sicuramente il guizzo del capolavoro, ma il prodotto Ubisoft merita i complimenti del caso. Più che un FPS si tratta di un picchiaduro a scorrimento in prima persona, dove imparare a padroneggiare ogni arma e mossa è più importante di una buona mira. L’esplorazione della città di Caldera è un’attività che vi porterà via più tempo di quanto pensiate, mentre l’apparizione di nemici dipenderà esclusivamente dal raggiungimento di luoghi prefissati. Tutti i combattimenti, soprattutto i boss fight, sono caratterizzati da un alto tasso di adrenalina e da una certa dose di frensia. Inoltre graficamente ed artisticamente ci troviamo uno tra i migliori prodotti usciti su Wii fino ad ora. Il sonoro soffre di un doppiaggio non all’altezza, ma musiche ed effetti rendono anche quest’aspetto più che sufficiente. Peccato per una longevità solo discreta: con qualche modalità di gioco in più, magari anche con il supporto al multiplayer, si sarebbe eliminato anche questo difetto. Fortunatamente il ritmo dell’avventura è sempre alto e non vi capiterà mai di annoiarvi.
