PES 2010 recupera el tono físico perdido en los últimos años y conforma uno de los primeros episodios a tener en cuenta tras los tres últimos y olvidables capítulos. Buenos gráficos, jugabilidad arcade francamente divertida y un ansia por mejorar que hace de esta entrega la única recomendable de cuántas hemos visto en la Next-Gen y que, sobre todo, invita a mirar con gran optimismo al futuro.

Brütal Legend ist wie guter Heavy Metal: Hart, laut und gitarrenlastig! Aber auch manchmal etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig… Am Element der Echtzeitstrategie, das den späteren Spielverlauf der kurzen Kampagne dominiert, dürften sich die Geister scheiden. Mir hat es trotz der chaotischen Inszenierung gefallen, aber Spieler der Demo, die danach folglich auf ein reines Hack’n’Slay gehofft haben, dürften sich schon etwas verarscht vorkommen, wenn sie plötzlich eine Armee aus Headbangern aufbauen und diese auch noch etwas umständlich kommandieren müssen. Kein Zweifel besteht allerdings daran, dass Brütal Legend eines der witzigsten Spiele der letzten Monate, wenn nicht sogar Jahre geworden ist, das mit tollen Charakteren, irren Animationen, einem Wahnsinns-Soundtrack sowie einer traumhaft designten Metal-Welt begeistern kann, die nur technisch ernüchternd ausfällt. Tadel verdient auch die schlechte Tonabmischung der deutschen Spur, bei der die hervorragenden Sprecher gerade gegen Ende zu oft untergehen und mich doch lieber zum englischen Original umschalten lassen, das sich zum Glück ebenfalls auf der 360- und PS3-Disk befindet. Trotz seiner technischen und inhaltlichen Mankos ist Brütal Legend dennoch ein Hit für mich – gerade weil es viele Dinge so herrlich anders macht als die Konkurrenz und dabei auch noch so verdammt charmant rüberkommt. Impressionnant, c'est le mot qui vient le plus naturellement lorsque l'on joue à Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves. Le titre de Naughty Dog est en effet un bijou de finition, qu'il s'agisse de graphismes, les meilleurs à ce jour sur console, de mise en scène, ou d'équilibre de gameplay. Car avec ses phases d'action spectaculaires et d'exploration parfaitement réparties, et de plus en plus prenantes, le jeu nous propose une aventure d'une intensité rare, accrocheuse du début à la fin, et qui parvient même à nous faire oublier un calibrage globalement assez grand public. Avec un tel bilan en solo, et une partie multi également très soignée et inédite, Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves sera incontestablement le grand jeu de la PlayStation 3 pour ce Noël. Qu'on se le dise.

Véritable film interactif, Uncharted 2 est le fruit d'un travail basé autour de la mise en scène, de l'immersion et du dépaysement. Plus mûr que Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves s'appuie surtout sur un panel de mouvements inépuisable et s'acharne à ne jamais frustrer le joueur qui fait corps avec Nathan Drake. Le titre de Naughty Dog nous immerge dans une quête passionnante et sans temps mort, alternant les ambiances et les couleurs avec une réelle habileté. Parfois mal en point, boitillant, apeuré, oppressé, le héros d'Uncharted 2 passe outre les conventions du genre et se présente comme un homme plutôt qu'une machine ne portant pas les stigmates d'une telle aventure. Simplement anthologique.

Creato con la passione e l’amore per il mondo delle quattro ruote, Forza Motorsport 3 è un titolo talmente vasto, profondo e completo che merita di entrare a far parte nella ludoteca di ogni possessore di Xbox 360: dotato di un gameplay stratificato ed adatto a qualunque esigenza, dal novizio all’hardcore gamer capace di spendere migliaia di euro per una postazione professionale, esso è totalmente plasmato al fine di divertire ed immergere l’utente nel sogno automobilistico di Dan Greenwalt. Grazie al pieno e completo supporto per la comunità online è inoltre possibile inventarsi artisti o tuner di fama mondiale, vendendo (con i crediti del gioco) le proprie livree/decalcomanie personalizzate o settings di altissimo livello per far competere i migliori piloti nelle sfide contro il tempo: con tali premesse non è escluso che possano nascere delle vere e proprie scuderie di appassionati dove ciascuno è intento a ricoprire un ruolo specifico all’interno della squadra. La già immensa longevità del prodotto sarà ulteriormente arricchita dagli annunciati download content che amplieranno velocemente il parco auto e piste del prodotto base: nel giorno del lancio sarà possibile scaricare attraverso il coupon presente nella confezione il primo di essi, il gratuito “Motorsports Legends Map Pack” che conterrà 10 vetture e due tracciati aggiuntivi, senza dimenticare la già annunciata Ferrari 458 Italia (l’ultima nata nella casa di Maranello) disponibile sotto il periodo natalizio. Tecnicamente eccellente e minato solo da qualche piccolo incidente di percorso (come il fotorealismo di alcune tonalità di colore o la bassa risoluzione di poche textures), Forza Motorsport 3 raccoglie con grinta e merito lo scettro di migliore simulazione di guida per console, in attesa dello scontro titanico col rivale dei Polyphony Digital previsto per marzo 2010. Acquisto consigliato a tutti ed in particolar modo a coloro che amano il mondo dell’auto, a prescindere dal fatto che si siano mai messe le mani su di un pad per giocare: Forza Motorsport 3 è il modo migliore per avvicinarsi a questo appassionante settore dell’intrattenimento.

FIFA 10 is the definitive soccer experience if there ever was one. It packages a list of modes that perform in wonderful harmony with one another thanks to Virtual Pro and the fact that the gameplay lives up to this praise should only sweeten the deal. Taking the game online is as awesome as it was last year and with Live Season 2.0 kicking off once the US version ships on October 20, soccer diehards are going to have even more to sink their teeth into. If you were a past soccer fan and are looking to get back into the swing of things or if you’ve been eagerly awaiting FIFA 10’s release, you absolutely, positively will not be disappointed.

Brutal Legend è sicuramente un buon gioco, un atto d'amore sfrenato di Tim Schafer verso il metal, un'operazione in cui il cuore è preponderante rispetto al cervello, e forse questo è il vero limite del titolo. Impareggiabile a livello artistico e di scrittura, divertente, immediato e tutto da ridere, pecca però in una certa frammentarietà del gameplay, con una main quest troppo lineare e side quest tutte uguali, che di fatto non esaltano l'impostazione aperta, stile free roaming alla base del gioco. Le parti strategiche, per quanto ben fatte, sembrano essere un pò avulse dal contesto e spezzano troppo la narrazione. Un ultimo appunto va fatto alla grafica, decisamente sotto tono rispetto al design generale, solo discreta di fronte a tanta inventiva e originalità del concept dei nemici e degli ambienti.

If you were jazzed on the hype that King of Fighters XII initially had, calm down. This game has a pretty face, and that's about it. A competent fighting system with nothing else to offer makes for a pretty short and shallow experience.

Beau, dynamique, très complet et vraiment rafraîchissant, Motorstorm : Arctic Edge nous prouve que la PS2 peut encore nous réserver quelques surprises. Si vous aimez l'arcade et que le grand frisson vous importe plus que le réalisme, il n'y a pas à hésiter une seule seconde : foncez l'acheter !

Cities XL moves the city-building genre in the right direction. Its friendlier learning curve as compared to the SimCity series will rope in new players, while its greater city design freedom will keep vets interested. However, even with multiplayer trading and resource balance and management, Cities XL is still not as hardcore as the SimCity series, and the subscription cost is questionably worth the arguably shallow multiplayer content. We encourage you to give the demo a shot before committing to it. The future is bright for Cities XL, but it's doubtful that it's bright enough to dethrone SimCity 4 as the preferred city-building simulation.
