Impressionnant, c'est le mot qui vient le plus naturellement lorsque l'on joue à Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves. Le titre de Naughty Dog est en effet un bijou de finition, qu'il s'agisse de graphismes, les meilleurs à ce jour sur console, de mise en scène, ou d'équilibre de gameplay. Car avec ses phases d'action spectaculaires et d'exploration parfaitement réparties, et de plus en plus prenantes, le jeu nous propose une aventure d'une intensité rare, accrocheuse du début à la fin, et qui parvient même à nous faire oublier un calibrage globalement assez grand public. Avec un tel bilan en solo, et une partie multi également très soignée et inédite, Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves sera incontestablement le grand jeu de la PlayStation 3 pour ce Noël. Qu'on se le dise.

I had a blast playing Axel & Pixel, but the thrill was short lived. It can be beaten in a day and although the arcade mini-games are worth sticking around for they're not as engrossing as the adventure. But I definitely recommend it to both point-and-click fans and younger gamers. This is one of those childrens' stories that will seem completely cracked out to adults. Hopefully it won't be the last we see of the painter and his dog.

Creato con la passione e l’amore per il mondo delle quattro ruote, Forza Motorsport 3 è un titolo talmente vasto, profondo e completo che merita di entrare a far parte nella ludoteca di ogni possessore di Xbox 360: dotato di un gameplay stratificato ed adatto a qualunque esigenza, dal novizio all’hardcore gamer capace di spendere migliaia di euro per una postazione professionale, esso è totalmente plasmato al fine di divertire ed immergere l’utente nel sogno automobilistico di Dan Greenwalt. Grazie al pieno e completo supporto per la comunità online è inoltre possibile inventarsi artisti o tuner di fama mondiale, vendendo (con i crediti del gioco) le proprie livree/decalcomanie personalizzate o settings di altissimo livello per far competere i migliori piloti nelle sfide contro il tempo: con tali premesse non è escluso che possano nascere delle vere e proprie scuderie di appassionati dove ciascuno è intento a ricoprire un ruolo specifico all’interno della squadra. La già immensa longevità del prodotto sarà ulteriormente arricchita dagli annunciati download content che amplieranno velocemente il parco auto e piste del prodotto base: nel giorno del lancio sarà possibile scaricare attraverso il coupon presente nella confezione il primo di essi, il gratuito “Motorsports Legends Map Pack” che conterrà 10 vetture e due tracciati aggiuntivi, senza dimenticare la già annunciata Ferrari 458 Italia (l’ultima nata nella casa di Maranello) disponibile sotto il periodo natalizio. Tecnicamente eccellente e minato solo da qualche piccolo incidente di percorso (come il fotorealismo di alcune tonalità di colore o la bassa risoluzione di poche textures), Forza Motorsport 3 raccoglie con grinta e merito lo scettro di migliore simulazione di guida per console, in attesa dello scontro titanico col rivale dei Polyphony Digital previsto per marzo 2010. Acquisto consigliato a tutti ed in particolar modo a coloro che amano il mondo dell’auto, a prescindere dal fatto che si siano mai messe le mani su di un pad per giocare: Forza Motorsport 3 è il modo migliore per avvicinarsi a questo appassionante settore dell’intrattenimento.

FIFA 10 is the definitive soccer experience if there ever was one. It packages a list of modes that perform in wonderful harmony with one another thanks to Virtual Pro and the fact that the gameplay lives up to this praise should only sweeten the deal. Taking the game online is as awesome as it was last year and with Live Season 2.0 kicking off once the US version ships on October 20, soccer diehards are going to have even more to sink their teeth into. If you were a past soccer fan and are looking to get back into the swing of things or if you’ve been eagerly awaiting FIFA 10’s release, you absolutely, positively will not be disappointed.

For whatever the reason of the delay, the game recently appeared on the PlayStation store with a high price tag for downloadable game. But is the game worth the cost, or is it just another passable addition in downloadable games?

Ennuyeux. Voilà l'adjectif qui convient le mieux à IL-2 Sturmovik : Birds of Prey, un titre qui réussit à proposer un mode arcade bien fichu et un mode simulation exigeant, mais qui écope de trois défauts rédhibitoires : une maniabilité pénible avec des sticks analogiques mal réglés, une mise en scène soporifique et des missions interminables. L'intérêt décroît donc progressivement, malgré la variété des campagnes et un mode multijoueur qui permet d'affronter jusqu'à 15 adversaires.

Dirt 2 non è un gioco da buttare e sicuramente saprà intrattenere chi cerca un titolo di rally, immediato e spensierato, ma per gli appassionati del genere automobilistico si può solo parlare di occasione sprecata. Le troppe leggerezze commesse in fase di sviluppo fanno di Dirt 2 un titolo non all'altezza dei suoi predecessori, è la constatazione che i giochi migliori appartenenti al genere su DS vengono dallo stesso publisher e dagli stessi sviluppatori fa riflettere sull'effettiva cura riposta nel titolo.

Brutal Legend merges action and real-time strategy, two genres that couldn't be any further apart. It also throws in some racing, a little role-playing, a healthy dose of adventure and creates one of the most fascinating games of the year. Couple all this with phenomenal voice talent, an epic soundtrack and an oddly unique multiplayer mode and you have a game that is worth testing your mettle on!

Anybody who has played more than a handful of JRPGs will find a game that feels all too familiar from the very outset. If you're fine with buying a game that will feel like you've probably played it before, by all means give Magnacarta 2 a shot. I'd say that newcomers would find more to like here, but the fact is that there are better JRPGs out there on Xbox 360 that I'd recommend as an intro to the genre before this middle of the road adventure.

FIFA 10 è un titolo davvero difficile da giudicare in maniera tradizionale, poiché si presenta sugli scaffali senza alcun indizio che tradisca il distacco con le esperienze simulative vissute nelle precedenti incarnazioni (a meno di non sbirciare il retro della custodia), quando invece dovrebbe mostrare a caratteri cubitali suffissi o sottotitoli chiarificatori che rendano palese agli acquirenti che i loro sudati 50€ verranno investiti in un titolo che offre sì una buona varietà di possibilità e un database di squadre e giocatori enorme, ma in un contesto limitato e avvilente per qualsiasi appassionato di calcio che abbia superato gli 8 anni. Spiace dirlo ma il più grosso difetto di questo titolo non è l’effettiva qualità dello stesso (a tratti apprezzabile) ma la sua natura ambigua e incompiuta, nonché il chiaro intento di cogliere l’interesse della fetta più numerosa dell’utenza Wii pronta a premiare con moneta sonante proprio titoli di questo genere. Verrebbe da dire che, per il bene della console, FIFA 10 non andrebbe comprato, in modo da mandare un forte segnale agli sviluppatori che la strada intrapresa non è quella giusta; ma si sa, sono le classifiche di vendita a determinare la bontà di alcune scelte e se questa stramba rivisitazione del miglior gioco di calcio della storia dovesse fare il botto, ci troveremmo costretti ad accartocciare e cestinare le nostre critiche da pro-gamers e limitarci a congratularci con EA Sports per aver interpretato al meglio i movimenti del mercato sulla console di maggior successo di questa generazione.
