Even with the problems I’ve had in my time with Spore Hero I didn’t hate the game. The adventure offered enough encouragement to plow through thanks to the fun loving creatures you encounter along the way, and the sense of customizing to turn the main character into nearly anything you want. There’s not enough outside of the adventure to keep your interest, but even with the quirks (and yes, they could get irritating) it was a fun dozen hours.

Whether or not you'll enjoy Piranha Bytes' Risen really depends on what kind of gamer you are. Though this is a more humble and user-friendly product than Gothic titles past, it's still very much a hardcore role-playing game. If you're not willing to figure some things out for yourself and the idea of freedom of choice doesn't sit well with you, chances are Risen isn't going to mesh well with your gaming sensibilities. If you're a Gothic fan, however, this is an absolute must-buy. If you're familiar with the genre and are looking to take the next step into a mature, well-realized fantasy world, then this is it. Its combat system isn't the greatest and its pacing is inconsistent, but for those who put in the time to see all Risen has to offer, it's an experience that won't be forgotten.

Nella sua versione per PC, FIFA 10 si presenta come un gioco di calcio di discreto valore, con un buon numero di modalità e un multiplayer senza infamia né lode. Le novità rispetto all'edizione dello scorso anno non sono molte: diciamo che c'è stata una qualche ottimizzazione circa il controllo dei giocatori, ma sono ancora numerosi i problemi da limare per poter competere con Pro Evolution Soccer, che dalla sua ha certamente il fatto di non proporre ai possessori di PC una versione castrata, bensì una conversione in linea con quanto visto su Xbox 360 e PlayStation 3. È appunto questo il problema del nuovo FIFA: la rinuncia a molte di quelle migliorie, tecniche e non, che hanno permesso alla serie calcistica EA di fare enormi passi in avanti negli ultimi due anni. FIFA 10 per PC si limita a essere un update con poca anima e molti rimpianti, insomma, e non possiamo che sperare in un cambio di rotta per l'edizione 2011.

NBA 2K10 est une simulation qui plaira sans aucune difficulté aux connaisseurs de la NBA et du basket en général. Si ce cru se contente de petites corrections et d'ajustements dans le gameplay, il introduit de nouveaux modes de jeu qui font mouche, à la fois hors ligne et en ligne. S'il faut donc opter pour un jeu réaliste, exigeant mais incroyablement grisant, c'est bien celui-ci.

NBA Live 10 est un bon cru et ravira à coup sûr les plus fidèles de cette série qui évolue grâce à un gameplay plus équilibré. Un peu avare en nouveautés, elle reste une franchise de tout premier plan et se distingue particulièrement en multi et au niveau du contenu en ligne. On la conseille en priorité aux novices du genre et à tous ceux qui aiment des mécanismes de jeu simples et dynamiques.

Contra Rebirth ist ein merkwürdiges Spiel: Weder Remake noch Nachfolger wie MegaMan 9, sondern vielmehr eine Mischung aus beidem – ein Remix bzw. Best-Of der Contra-Serie, wenn man möchte. Und als solches funktioniert der Titel auch wunderbar! Die Action fetzt wunderbar krachend und pausenlos wie auf den SNES, die pixelfröhliche 2D-Grafik verzaubert mit (für Retro-Fans) wunderschönen Mode 7-Effekten, das Leveldesign ist ebenso verspielt wie herausfordernd – und Neulinge freuen sich über den sehr kulanten Easy-Modus, welcher der für ihren unnachgiebigen Schwierigkeitsgrad berüchtigten Serie den Zahn zieht. Allerdings ist das Vergnügen mit gerade mal fünf kurzen Levels ein knappes, außerdem mangelt es dem Spiel an frischen Ideen. Contra 4 war da vor zwei Jahren sehr viel weiter, aber das dürfen wir Europäer ja aus mysteriösen Gründen bis heute nicht offiziell spielen. Allen Contra-Fans im Speziellen und Actionfreunden im Allgemeinen sei der Import des Moduls daher nachdrücklich ans Herz gelegt – wer darauf allerdings keine Lust hat, bekommt mit Rebirth einen ganz ordentlichen Ersatz.
