Avec Demigod, le studio GPG assure le minimum, à savoir nous offrir un joli clone de DotA, qui parvient même à s'affranchir de son illustre modèle en imposant sa propre personnalité malgré une inspiration évidente. Mais tout n'est pas rose pour autant. Le nouveau bébé de Chris Taylor souffre notamment du peu de contenu en regard de son prix, et surtout d'un manque flagrant de finition en ce qui concerne l'interface dédiée aux parties multijoueurs. C'est d'autant plus rageant que cet amer constat n'empêche pas les qualités de surnager. Du coup, on se dit qu'on est passé proche de ce qui aurait pu être un grand jeu, et qu'on a juste un titre correct. Il faudra savoir s'en contenter.

The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga è esattamente quello che i fan della serie SNK si aspettavano: una raccolta senza troppi fronzoli, ottimizzata dal punto di vista dei caricamenti (davvero ridotti al minimo), che offre l'emulazione perfetta di ben cinque episodi (dunque più economica rispetto all'eventuale acquisto dei singoli capitoli sulla Virtual Console - peraltro non disponibili, a parte il primo) e aggiunge una simpatica modalità Challenges per mettere alla prova i puristi del genere. Il gameplay di KOF '94 e '95 risulta inadeguato allo scenario attuale, mentre gli episodi successivi appaiono decisamente più giocabili e divertenti anche se non possono contare sulla medesima cura realizzativa. Il supporto di qualsiasi soluzione a livello di controller è sicuramente gradito, infine. Concludendo, è chiaro che se avete voglia di un picchiaduro a incontri attuale e spettacolare dovreste procurarvi l'eccellente Tatsunoko vs Capcom senza pensarci due volte (ammesso che ne abbiate la possibilità visto che al momento è disponibile solo in versione jap), mentre questa Collection si pone come una scelta valida solo se avete voglia di rivivere il periodo d'oro di SNK.

Battel Fantasia è un prodotto che farà sicuramente felici gli amanti di picchiaduro di stampo classico a patto di guardare al di là dell'aspetto grottesco della produzione e di un comparto grafico non esaltante. I giocatori più assidui apprezzeranno senz'altro il sistema di combattimento solido e curato che se padroneggiato sa elargire molte soddisfazioni pur mantenendo un buon livello di accessibilità per l'utente meno esperto. Purtroppo Battle Fantasia non poteva scegliere tempismo peggiore per uscire sugli scaffali, già occupati dalla scomoda presenza di Street Fighter e la scarsa presenza di giocatori in rete pare essere la conferma che non ci sia posto per entrambi nelle arene online.

Gravity has the right stuff to be a sleeper puzzle game, but it stumbles a bit with a design that's a little rough around the edges. It feels too light on content for its pricetag, at least on Wii. The design seems better suited for the DS platform's pick-up-and-play experience, but the technology isn't quite up to the game's potential.

I don't know how I'm going to score a game until I sit down and write the review. After reading the paragraphs preceding this one, it's clear I did not like Wheelman. When Vin Diesel is attached to a project -- whether it be a movie or game -- you expect to have to suspend your disbelief and settle in for some unbelievable shenanigans. Sadly, Wheelman pushes those ideas too far past the point of no return. Sure, the occasional hip check from a sedan is cool, but there's no story to keep you going (Why would the gangs put up with his crap?), the combat is a chore (Oh, another swarm of bad guys to block my path? Fun.), and the game doesn't look that good (Cars are just generic boxes.). I wanted Wheelman to be a guilty pleasure, like 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand, but it's just guilty of being a poor game.

Flock has an amazing sense of style, humor and quirky appeal, but it's definitely not for everybody. If you're the type of person that likes to herd computer-controlled animals, then you're in luck. Everybody else should probably try out the demo first!
