Buccaneer transpire le manque de moyens dans tous les compartiments. Il est moche et son gameplay est d'une platitude absolue. Bref, l'intérêt du jeu frôle le néant. Finalement, son seul mérite est de nous rappeler que le jeu vidéo peut parfois faire naufrage.

The Legend of Spyro series comes to a mostly satisfying close with Dawn of the Dragon. I thought the first game in the series was well done, the second lagged a bit and the third represents a return to form. While this game shines brightest on PS3 and Xbox 360 due to the more polished graphics, I think Wii owners are likely to get the most of the experience because there are so few comparable third-party efforts which pay as much attention to production values and scope. If you completely hate the franchise, the title isn't going to suddenly sway you, but if you've always found it interesting or are in just the right mood to try it out, you're going to find a decidedly basic, but still fun platform-heavy adventure that harkens back to the designs of last generation. Cooperative multiplayer mode aside, there's no "new generation" style hook and the resulting play mechanics therefore don't feel fresh (especially after two prequels), but the fundamentals are sound and the presentation better than you expect.

Même en faisant preuve d'indulgence, on ne peut que se rendre à l'évidence : Igor n'a pas grand-chose pour lui. Réalisation médiocre, mécanismes grossiers, maniement rigide, tous les aspects de cette adaptation hurlent la volonté purement mercantile et somme toute malhonnête de son éditeur. En effet, il n'est ici question que de profiter de la licence sans véritable considération pour les petits joueurs. Un titre à éviter.

Heavenly Guardian is an affront to everything that games are now and were back in the day. It can be held up as a brazen defiance of the march of technology, a testament to when games were simple but fun (and despite all my bitching, Heavenly Guardian is still fun... to a degree). It's also a painfully generic, downright pitiful display of what 2D gaming can still offer. I don't mind old-school games, though I do feel that nostalgia often tints our perspective on really old titles until we see them with modern eyes, but that isn't the case here. I wanted a spiritual successor to Pocky & Rocky -- even if the name wasn't there. Instead, I got a game apparently transplanted from the early 90s that was stripped of its soul during the trip. There's no heart to what's happening, only a tired series of canned patterns and lifeless trudges through wintery wastes. This is not the 16-bit throwback you're looking for.

In den ersten Stunden ist Naruto – The Broken Bond auf klarem Award-Kurs. In jeder Hinsicht seinem Vorgänger überlegen, überzeugen auf den ersten Blick sowohl Kulisse, Story als auch Spielmechanik der cleveren Mixtur aus Prügler und Action-Adventure. Doch nach dem pompösen Einstieg und den ersten Missionen wird deutlich, dass unter dem Strich nur die visuelle Pracht das hohe Niveau beibehält. Die Geschichte ist zwar spannend und vielschichtig, aber nur für Spieler mit Vorkenntnissen komplett nachzuvollziehen. Die neuen Team-Mechaniken sowohl während der Kämpfe als auch während der Action-Adventure-Sequenzen sorgen für ein runderes Erlebnis. Und mit zahlreichen Minigames sowie Nebenaufgaben wird man ansprechend unterhalten Daher ist es bedauerlich, dass sich die Missionsstruktur zu einer überwältigenden Mehrheit auf einfache Hol- und Bringdienste verlässt und man unnötig durch Abschnitte gelotst wird, um Spielzeit zu schinden. Dennoch: Naruto – The Broken Bond ist eine konsequente und nicht nur für Fans unterhaltsame Fortsetzung der letztjährigen Überraschung. Und nach wie vor ist es ein gutes Beispiel dafür, dass man mit Kreativität, einem schlüssigen Konzept sowie visueller Kraft nicht vor Lizenzen zu Kreuze kriechen muss.

Faut-il pour autant craquer sur ce troisième épisode des Lapins Crétins ? Si vous êtes sûrs de pouvoir vous éclater à plusieurs, avec des enfants en bas âge, pourquoi pas, cela mettra toujours de l'ambiance à Noël. En revanche, pour un simple plaisir de gamer, qui plus est en solo, passez votre chemin. La première version était bien plus sympathique, avec des "vraies" épreuves délirantes. Trop de réchauffé cette fois, pas assez de loufoquerie ni de variété dans les mini-jeux, malgré un effort sur certains points (jeux de mots débiles, conception globale etc.) et c'est bien dommage ma foi. De lapin.
